Celebrate the Birthday of Bob Dylan at the City Winery Boston Wed. May 24, 2023. The Crowmatix will play highlights from Bob Dylan’s long career of songs including The Basement Tapes as well as select songs Louie learned directly from The Band, material he helped create with them as Co-Producer, collaborating with them for over fifteen years.
Professor Louie co-produced & performed on the last three CD’s for The Band including one of their comeback classics, Bob Dylan’s Blind Willie McTell. With his group Professor Louie & The Crowmatix, they consistently tour performing 150 shows a year and have presented the Bob Dylan Birthday Bash at festivals, theaters and clubs.
Professor Louie & The Crowmatix version of Like A Rolling Stone on their 2023 release Rockin’ Legacy Vol. 1 is currently #19 on The Jam Band Radio Charts.

PL&C have been inducted into The New York State Blues Hall of Fame, hold a permanent place in The Canada South Blues Museum and are recipients of the Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the Traditional Arts from Common Ground on the Hill, Maryland.
