Bob Seger & Jason Aldean - Against The Wind (Live) 

My dad 89, loved listening to my Bob Seger albums when I went off to college in the 80's. He died in March 2023 and we played Against the Wind at his funeral. He would have approved.

Thank you Jason Aldean for introducing Bob Seger to a new younger generation! He is always relevant but some people just have to be introduced. Bob Seger is a dynamo whose songs split right into the heart of every male and female living being . Exposes , describes, comiserates (sic), sympathizes, and expresses their hearts. Plus his onstage performances were superb. There are very few people about which it can be said, but Bob Seger is one: He was a legend in his own time.

The older I get the more meaningful this song becomes.

I met Bob Segar in a driving class in Naples, Fl back in the early 90's. He was such a kind and couteous gentleman. He even took the time to answer an older lady's question, " What band did you play with?" So sweetly answered her and said," the Silver Bullet Band, ma'am.." he took no credit for who he was, answering in that kind, and gentle voice that I will never forget! Talked with him and got his autograph. Later, he rented a house from my husband's rental company. Always the same and such a legend. Come back one more time, Bob! Gotta see just one more show!

Still one of the greatest songs of all time. A great duet! Two lines from this song I always used at work. "Wish I didn't know now, what I didn't know then", "Deadlines and commitments, what to leave in, what to leave out", Pretty much covered every sitation! LOL. Always a big Bob Seger fan. Great stuff. What I love about this is Jason Aldean respected the song and didn't put his own spin on it.

Bob still has his voice 100%, simply amazing!

What I love about this live performance is that Bob Seger is so into it. He is doing the same wide thumping strumming guitar strums that he did when he was performing onstage at the height of his career. And vocally expressing an understanding of the lyrics as if he had written them....which of course he did! What a career he made. Wildly successful in recorded songs, even more so in live performances, how many other composers and performers had an iconic advertisement centered on them... "Like a Rock". The man is definitely centered in America's heartland. And we need more like him today.

I saw Bob a couple of years ago in Grand Rapids Michigan. He was incredible. He still has the same voice as he had in the 70’s. He was my first concert at the Jackson County Fair. ❤❤❤❤💕💕💕♥️♥️♥️

I'm 49 and all my life I've listened to metal and country. What have I missed!!? Robert Clark Seger is an American Icon!! I had heard his songs here and there but didn't know the genre or who he was. Never heard his name or saw him until this year and WOW, what great tunes and awesome writing! I think Jason Aldean was even starstruck while strumming w him. Seger, a very cool, yet hot forever sexy man!!! A great talent!!!

There is so much I love about this song. Sever for one ( looking good in his white hair), and that voice!. It feels like my personal ballad, sums up my life in the 60s and 70s and beyond to today.. And the piano is superb.

Bob is such a great story teller and such an underrated performer and singer. So great to see him cross over to both the younger generation but also to a country star even if in this case the country star is crossing over to Bob's form of rock. Seeing them both rock out in Nashville as Bob was winding down his career is such a great way to cap off his life's work and transition his example to the next generation of performers. My entire life with music is intertwined with Bob's storytelling and musical style.

My first rock concert, 75. Bob opened for KISS in Johnson City, Tennessee. The same tour that made Silverbullet Live Album. Saw him again in 76. Right down front both times! One of my top 5 favs!
