His point is that Jay had financial goals that would be easier to reach if he wasn't splitting all the proceeds with partners. Obviously, if you're only making half as much money, your wealth will grow at half the speed. If you're getting 1/3 the money, your wealth will grow at 1/3 the speed. Etc.

Recheck your figures....He does not own 67% or .67. He actually only owns 1/8th percent of the team. Not even a whole 1 percent, which equates to 0.125.
