Hey guys. Just wanted to pop in and confirm, this shit is the fucking bomb. You don’t even need apple sauce man we swapped that out for another banana and it came out delicious, it’s going to be a staple “make ahead” meal for me and my girl
This is the best protein banana bread that I've tried so far! Because I used vanilla protein powder from MyProtein (which is already very sweet), I skipped on the vanilla extract, applesauce, and extra sweetener. The bread was still ended up very flavorful and just sweet enough! Very moist, too. Thanks for the recipe.
Mike! Why don't you ever post the steps in the description box? Or at least at the end of the video? I've made some of this stuff multiple times and it is a pain to go through and pause after every step you say so I can catch up!
Just made this and let me tell u it came out perfectly it tasted so good I ate the whole thing 😭 with some almond milk not only is it healthy the protein keeps u full
#1. I just made this, and it is really good. #2. When I was calculating the macros, I had to slow down the playback to 0.5 speed to catch some of the ingredient amounts and write them down...and let me just say that it had me laughing WAY TOO HARD... You sound like you're on heavy meds, and it's hysterical. Ahh... anyways. The protein banana bread is bomb. Thanks for the recipe. FYI I subbed in 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk for the Greek yogurt and it worked fine.
Hey Michael! Fellow TJ grad (2014), just wanted to let you know that your success story is amazing and it's dope to see you hustling at such a high level. Definitely learning some lessons from you, sir. Keep it up, and imma make this recipe now.
Gotta love when you're watching the video and checking everything off in your head saying fuck yes! I have all these ingredients! Thanks for the awesome recipe MK!!!
I baked this today, I followed the ingredients to a tea but it didn’t cook all the way through and was completely raw, and a little sour because of the Greek yogurt. Other than that, it’s a great recipe! Going to try the milk substitute instead. Thank you !!
stick a knife in the middle before your pull it out to cool down. if the knife has something on it leave it for another 5 mins in the oven, if the knife comes out clean or cleanish it's cooked through.
For those who are worried about counting calories and such, can you give an idea about how many calories/protein in a loaf and break it down if you can per slice? I'm not a hardcore calorie counter, but as a first responder when I'm making snacks like this I want to make sure I'm maximizing my intake.
I started making changes in my diet this year to try to get my weight down and I really can't thank you enough for this, Banana bread has been sounding so good the past few days and this video couldn't have had better timing. (for my situation) I'm going to have to pick up your cookbook after my next paycheck, since the healthier recipes were the original reason I subscribed. on the topic of the cookbook though, do you have any plans to make a printed version available? I'd really like to have a version I can pick up and flip through. cheers!
1 tablespoon Chia seeds in a bowl with 3 tablespoons of water… Let sit for five minutes or so. Forms a kinda-gel. Roughly equivalent, to one egg white.
Just made this but didn't have apple sauce and used a whole egg vs 2 egg whites. Replaced applesauce with just 60g more of greek yogurt was tempted to use 60g of pumpkin pureee though but maybe next time Ok so it came out amazing even though i used 2 scoops of Chocolate Brownie Isolate by MyProtein I didn't Taste Chocolate at all, I'm gonna probably make a pumpkin bread next time and ill def buy Banana extract next time around when i make the banana bread again because i want the banana flavor to punch my in the face.
Made this for the second time for my 20 year old son who's trying to shape up, he was diagnosed with Kallmann Syndrome so his body doesn't make testosterone naturally and his thyroid was underactive. He's really changed shape this past 18 months, and his confidence is building. The syndrome means his arm and legs are longer than a normal person's he's 6ft 3. This Banana Bread is delish!
Hi Micheal, My name is James , Im sixteen years old. and i have trouble always going over my macros. My goal is 45g of fat, 288g of carbs, and 150g of protein. And, a day like today i hit 51.5g fats, 330g of carbs, and 53.5g of protein. And i really had was breakfast and small stuff for lunch and dinner. Any, tips and help with fixing my problem. Thanks form a Fan, James Holyfield
+James Holyfield can't spot reduce. Some people those can be the last places to go even when super lean. Just depends on your genetics and where your fat leaves first
You should include Gluten Free or "GF" in your recipes that are gluten free like this one. I have Celiac disease so always pay attention to that. I also think you can attract a whole different demographic too.
