Honestly, even if you are going full native 4K gaming, a 14900K is extreme overkill. A 14600k or 13600K can easily handle a 4090 at full load, or a 7800x3d. Even then, you have the 4080 which is an insanely efficient card for 4K too, and if you want more frames, just enable DLSS, for 1440, the 4080 is also absolutely overkill. Still, it offer such good efficiency that I think everyone would buy one if it didn't cost as much as a Bugatti.

Running this one on 4080/13700 Laptop on 1080p Epic, W/O FSR. Had to lock it on 60fps, and limit CPU to 3800Mhz, to stop it from throttling. All gong well, but 4K seems unreal for me...

On my config (2k 7800x3d + 6000cl30 + 4090) I have like around 80 fps on forest map and 130-140Fps in hospital map

CPU utilization is too low. UE5 is not taking advantage of multi threaded cores. They must bring new feature of using all cores in upcoming unreal engine 5.5

Not even the 4090 can crack above 60 FPS at 4K... and AMD is not gonna compete in the high end. The next generation is gonna be dark for AMD. That 5090 is needed at this point.

There are so many whiners in the comments “4090 and 50 fps”. There will always be games in which top cards do not reach 60+ fps! For example, in cyberpunk in 4k + path tracing 19 fps. There is excellent DLSS and frame generation. You set DLSS balance + FG and 19 frames turn into 120. This is where the “inputlag” whiners usually come up. Input lag corresponds to a game at 60 fps - this is enough for a solo company, and smoothness corresponds to 120 fps. The ones who whine and worry the most about the owners of the 4090 are those who don’t have this very 4090. Personally, I own a 4090 and play on a 1440p monitor, everything is great! In Cyberpunk DLSS the quality + FG = 144 fps is stable. Alan Wake only DLSS quality = 144 fps stable.
