On this no heat service call the boiler is not starting up. The thermostat is calling for heat, yet nothing happens. I start testing verifying the thermostat is calling for heat. Next since the flue damper is in closed position, I verify 24VAC to the flue damper. Since I have power, the flue damper motor is defective. Therefore I try to move the damper by hand. Flue damper motor responds and opens damper all the way. Finally I replace the flue damper and test the heating systems new damper. Call for heat at boiler and flue damper motor opens and boiler fires up.
