I service North New Jersey 201-747-6886. I am an HVAC Technician doing service and installations of Air Conditioning and Heating systems. I work on many different kind of heating systems. I have lots of steam boiler and hot water boiler/ baseboard/ radiant heat repair videos. I work on everything from residential to commercial systems. Most my videos are real service calls and jobs. I do the best I can to keep my customers comfortable and happy. Which can be seen in any of my videos.
This guy is terrible, by stretching the flexible hose out like that because it's too short, it will eventually rip apart after all the vibrations. What he should have done is push the ground stake holding the pipes towards the generator more to make up for the shortage. Better yet, get a longer flexible hose! This guy is lazy and did not do this correctly.
My generator starts and accelerates acting the protection for high speed, I had broken the spring in the carburetor and I replaced it but it remains the same.
I need to do the exact one. Two elbows and one 4" straight. I was told that we need to use double wall pipe or 24G single wall. It appears that you are using single wall 26G pipe. Is this OK? I couldn't remove the screws from the current one. How do I remove?
thank you hvac hacker! My grand kids in Canada are young apprentices and your videos are helping them with their new careers. Much appreciated and god bless!
Two questions: After draining how do you know when enough air has entered the expansion tank to close off airtrol air inlet valve nut on the bottom of tank? Secondly, why is water immediately going back into expansion tank upon opening the isolation valve?
Just a hint. Those flex connections supplied by Generac are stainless steel. Stainless steel has a tendency to gall. So for the best connection a little pipe dope or Nyloc on the threads helps the threads to go together without galling.
I got a quote from a guy saying it will be 8 hours of labor for the swap out. That seems high. I don't think installing the entire AC system cost that much.
We having the same trap on our roof AC! Having leak drops with inside part of AC that under the roof AC! We just done the same thing with roof AC and have water coming out from the trap now, but the inside one still having drops like a drop per second! What should we do about that!? Any ideas? Thank you for the reply and advice!!
Not a comment about the OP, but I think that instillation would be better off flipped 180 deg so the exhaust is going away from the condenser units, staircase and building. Those units won't cool on generator power with the hot exhaust hitting them.
I know it's been 3 years since the last comment here, but can you tell me what specifically "wiped out the battery"??? I.E. did the charger just stop charging and the battery went dead - OR - did it malfunction and OVERCHARGE the battery continuously, thus boiling the cells dry? I have an older Kohler 14RES (with the same charger) that's pumping 17.65 volts continuously into the battery when the gen is running, so knowing what "malfunction" of the charger killed your battery would be very helpful. Thanks!
In TX, I have yet to see a P trap on home HVAC. 3/4" Drain pipe runs out evap coil from attic and either drains outside or connected to tub, shower, or sink basin drain. Twice a yr (prevenative) use vinegar or clorox ( about a cup) and have yet to see one clogged and go to drain pan under unit with PVC downhill out side of house, and third, is float switch - Triple protection. City Inspector signs off on *any* new install..
I replaced the one I had a few years ago. The zippers got all messed up from me over stuffing the bag, when I had big commercial repairs and needed a lot of tools
Can't be adding a pound of refrigerant in one shot. You're gonna feed a slug of liquid into the vapor compressor and damage it worse. It should take hours to add 3 lbs.
Line set is buried in the sheetrock walls, probably 28 feet. Old R22 system. Can't imagine the work to replace it! Just trying to figure out how at my place.
I must have skipped the part where you checked the resistance across the coil. Because if you did that in the beginning wouldn’t you have seen that issue when you started? Not questioning your service skills I think your awesome just asking questions
