For a proper performance, the very last couple of recorder notes require having a dog in the room, who will be able to hear them and will howl "Wowooo" on the right pitches.
That is an absolute howl!!! I needed a wonderful laugh to start a Monday and this was it. Fantastic job!! The Windows Error at the end is classic!! 🤣BTW, what kind of contrabassoon do you play? I noticed the unusual bell material and was curious. Thanks!
Don't mind my comment. But I think the Gigaracket would be better used for the percussion. Because the "vibration is so low" its about the same frequency as the percussion itself.
@@Subcontrabassoon True. I guess that means whether you think of the range from G-1 to G-2 as very low notes, or just very fast rhythms, it still makes the rackett some sort of instrument! Anyways I think that's a really cool invention or yours! 👍
hmmm. garklein recorder gets bad press this way. i think you need to make amends and do a full video on it, maybe in collaboration with one of the great recorder-youtubers, like Sarah Jeffery. in fact, a duet between a very low and a very high instrument could prove interesting. I'ld love to see that happen! #teamrecorder
In my defense, my hands are literally too large to play the thing, so it's really not a viable instrument for me. And on a passage that starts on Bb7, I doubt piccolo or any other wind instrument would have sounded much better.
@@Subcontrabassoon Maybe try with one of these? www.mollenhauer.com/en/catalog/recorder-accessories/miniature-recorders/miniature-recorder-brooch-rosewood-detail#content Bet that would be a real challenge for your hands!
