My favorite village old bolingbroke, would love to live there, is the pub still open opposite the castle? And wasn’t the church there partially destroyed during the war ? I think cromwell took a cannon up onto the tower roof to blast the castle but they got hit in return
I didn’t pop to the pub this time but did a few years ago on a hike and it was open then. Interesting stuff about the church tower. I read that too. Got a great atmosphere about the place.
