Live at Mtv Movie Awards, June 4th, 1994. This is probably the last time that Alec John Such played live with the band. Soundtrack from movie:"The Cowboy Way"
Tico and Alec are laying that groove like the beasts they are. This song is so underrated. Should be on each and every BJ greatest hits cd. Just a shame the song is overlooked and had a mini-run during this promotional tour.
@@MarceloSilva-bs7nu well did Alec play on the recording? i'm sure someone here knows which songs Alec actually recorded the bass and which songs Hugh recorded.
@@javtimestwo Alec definitely recorded this song. There is often confusion with people knowing that Hugh/Hughie had a connection from the very early days, but that is mainly because he was part of the ensemble that was recruited to back Jon on Runaway in 1983 before he had put together the original band. That's the only song on the first LP that has a 'session' band rather than THE band. Hugh didn't play on any other records until These Days in 1995 after Alec was sadly told to leave/quit. Hugh is great, but Alec was the original bass-man that I loved. Plus his high tenor harmonies were incredible. Irreplaceable member of the REAL band.
One of the rare occasions when BJ played in the same key as the record. Maybe because it was a one-song performance. And what a performance! This song is sadly underrated, one of my favorites of theirs!
Man, right up to that point (and till 1995) the best live rock band in the planet!!!! and Alec John Such was still there!! (not one single camera shot for him!!!!)
Huey's play this song with pick in the middle position, and this show huey's sloppy sometimes songs...well mistakes happened same like Alec, Richie, David, Tico and Jon....this men are so hereos but, still humans not robot! Kkkk and Alec miss so much! Please come back with Richie!!!!
years passing by and im still watching this performance...such a kick ass!! probably the last hardrock song written by Bon jovi..wish i could turn back time!!
@@bluesman7865 i knew someone was going to come out with something like this...i agree with you... but this is the essence of rock and roll ... they were not working with protools ...any new technology ..its hard and free rock and roll u know what i am saying? ...you should...you call yourself Bluesman ;)
Man you made me listen to this video like 10 times more today hahaha.. and i THANK YOU for that.. but im even more convinced of what i told you before!! Listen to the GOD DANM DRUMMING ..ITS FUCKING KILLER!!! and the finest Sambora era!!! and JON? tell your mama baby!!! AWWWWW ..man this is real rock and roll.. not saying they didnt do it during the 2000 era.. but this is the real real Bon Jovi :)
Yes, n 2022, Lovin this w/BON JOVI & especially JBJ!!! One hell of a band/GOAT!!!! LoVe y’all!!! Thx 4 bringing us such Awesome music/songs all these yrs…. Great Memories too!!!🖤❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🖤
This is awesome. As they were back then. Jon should listen to this/watch this, and cry now. This is when he could SING, and had a proper camaraderie with the band that helped make him. He was WAY less arrogant, and WAY more talented. Affable, talented, almost humble in his fame. Now he's a joke, his voice has gone completely, just like the best players in the band. The new records are shit, his singing is tragic, but he's more egotistical than ever! Damn shame.
He is always proud of his and the bands achievement but it's all in the history now. He will never go back to where it was and moved on. So he will never be ashamed of what he is today.
@@ronieldcdomingo5460 I wish I could agree. BUT he hasn't moved on. Yes, he makes new records with who he still calls Bon Jovi, but they're not great records at all. So he still relies on the draw of the decent songs from the glory days of when the band was THE BAND, the band we see here in this recording, to bring in the fans. They wrote together, they played together, Richie was allowed to play an 8 bar solo that he composed himself, and most importantly, Jon could SING the songs. So I reiterate..... It's a damn shame.
While i agree, they've never achieved the heights of the incredible 84-95 run, saying Jon is egotistical now is anything but the truth, the dude pours thousands of dollars building housing for the homeless and has restaurants for the under privileged across the u.s the dude may have lost his voice but egotistical, nah.
We will always have an argument when it comes to their music comparing now vs then. But I believe that he is happy the way it turned out for them even the voice lost and richie's gone, and he doesn't care if love him or hate him today.
Personnellement je la trouve absolument terrible cette chanson c’est une de mes préférées. C’est dommage qu’elle soit pas assez valorisé ils sont absolument géniaux.❤❤❤❤
