My question is if its mandatory to start a business if you want to work as a freelance bookkeeper? Or can you just work as an individual without a business attached to you?

That’s my question too. Can we start off as self employed and once we have more clients then set up a business? What’s the best approach?

@@sylviasanchez6030 It is a question of liability. You can be a "business" with just yourself. It all comes down to insurance. If you just freelance without having an LLC should you mess up something the company you are working for can come after your personal assets and future incomes.

I got a question, im thinking of learning bookkeeping as a side hustle in college but i keep hearing people saying it will be automated by ai and not worth learning anymore, it that true?

NO, AI is a tool like everything else which it can help but cannot replace human expertise and doing. otherwise, we don't have to go to work, AI will do it for us, and we will receive the paycheck. LOL.
