@@AnaWallaceJohnson I used to have this fantasy of accidentally meeting Bret at a steakhouse in LA and he being super rude to me. It was great. But then when he wrote in The Shards how his rude demeanor is all due to crippling anxiety and he just wants to be known as the fun Bret?? Made me rethink it all. Ended the read wanting to hug him lots.

@AnaWallaceJohnson I worked in a bookstore and was in town and had just had a book come out. He wasn't doing a signing at our store, but his people coordinated with us, so we bought him lunch, and he sat in the back with me and another person, signing books and eating Subway. He told us stories about his fans' antics and some behind the scenes movie stuff. He was the most lovely person ever! You have to watch the new season! It's great!!!
