"I can feel my brain cells shutting down, leaving my body" right there with you girl it's a freaking mood 😂 First off, I loved this video it was amazeballs to the max! I think I picked up Maybe You Should Talk to Someone a few years back because it kept coming up on the featured page at my library. I remember really enjoying it and thinking about how reassuring it was that life isn't the linear growth I thought it was going to be as a kid. I walked away thinking it was a good read but nothing extraordinary, but over the years I think about the stories of the girl whose happy place was Trader Joes and the rude workaholic who was just trying to bury the pain of his loss. It has mattered more to me as time has gone on. Man I have so many thoughts about the midnight library, gotta say though I felt you were pretty darn spot on with your insights. I so want to chat with you about this book. Also I really gotta read the Family Fang, you're really starting to sell me on this! The brothers Green are also my self care, don't you freaking worry!

Thank you! I was really losing steam by this video xD. I'm glad it was still entertaining even though I was def sleepy. But yes, I almost forgot about the Trader Joes story, but that unlocked memories. That woman's story was so heart-wrenching. And I love how both her therapist and her husband were like "you ...want to work at Trader Joes?" And she was like, "Yes, yes I do" And so she did xD And yes, John! fucking John was the worst, but then he hits you with the most intense, tragic experience; like holy crap! I can still remember the tears I shed over those pages. We talked about this already, but I'm very excited to eventually talk about The Family Fang with you! And continue conversations about the Brothers Green. It was such a relief to be able to talk about them with another fan, lol. Is this going to be the start of our podcast?? lol

Oh my gosh haha I spend a day over the holidays filming 4 videos and the last one was a mess, I'm not used to speaking that much out loud anymore 😂Oh your message on The Midnight Library was so thoughtful - I agree it can be emotionally expensive for some people, but for some with "lighter" (if that's a thing?) anxiety it can be so comforting. I think when I hit around 25-26 it would have been the perfect book for me! I highly recommend his other book How to Stop Time! Oh girl you're not a deadbeat! I'm with your therapist there! You'd not want to be hit in the face by a potato, come on ;) You know I never knew John Green had a brother 😂oops! But I keep hearing about some of their books recently!

You start to feel it after 3 lol. I don't know if I'll ever do 4 videos in one day ever again haha. And thank you! I wanted to protect ppl's emotional safety while also pitching one of my favorite books.

I always love the energy and cosy vibes in your videos! These were definitely the recommendations I wanted ... although the video made me realise that maybe my recent search for comfort books means I'm in a quarter life crisis too? 😂 (feeling very 26 over here too haha)

This was a great list - thanks for sharing! I've actually never read anything by the Green brothers or really could have told you who they were before this video :) (but I'm old - 🤣 ) - but I really appreciated your sharing how these impacted you - and the song too!

you're so sweet Leo! lol you're not old, we're just in different fandoms. But also, I consider "old" a compliment. I would LOVE for someone to call me old -- it would mean that I'm a "grown adult" finally xD And thank you for appreciating the song; i was kinda embarrassed to include it, but it's also so catchy I couldn't help it.

You do! It's such a comfort. Spencer, idk how often you listen to audiobooks, but I prefer the audio version over the written one. The formatting is a little weird and was a bit distracting to read.
