I just got the 40 for my 100cc 2cycle engine...the 30 fits my old 80cc Engine if that helps....

Just has to be long enough for proper mounting without kinks in the line. For our build, that was the closest we could get it without additional brackets.

And I do understand that, the new manifold (with the angle) is an improved design because the 2-stroke is installed at an angle and so this makes the carb more level! :)

The boost manifold already has threads, no tapping needed. If you intend to modify an existing manifold, we would highly recommend tapping the exhaust port, as it will provide a more secure fit and will prevent any damage or warping to any of the parts.

I want to say bolt 2 bolt. About 90% sure but look up your kit. Your parts, a lot of the stock kits lower end kits are 30mm. If you have a Caliber you can Measure both the hole and bolt to bolt to make sure you get the right part. I use Amazon BBR and zeda are sellers on Amazon they have free shipping and returns

It does not matter if its an aluminium or an iron set. NOS increases temperatures though, you can expect several burnt pistons before getting the tuning right. You need to change a couple of things though. Nitromethane fuel is a better option if you want to make a LOT more power.

It is possible that the engine it self has worn down over time. Check that all gaskets are still intact, that there is no build up or damage to the piston, cylinder, or head. Also check that the head is properly torqued down. Using a richer fuel-to-oil mix will help seal any worn down parts that no longer have a tight seal. Besides that, tuning the carburetor or installing performance parts will also improve the performance of your bike.

A good carburetor can indeed improve the performance of a motor. 2-stroke engines have a little blow back into the carburetor of left over air and fuel mix after the ignition of compressed air and fuel, leading to bogging in lower RPMs. The boost bottle catches some of the blow back and reintroduces it with a fresh supply of air and fuel, resulting in an improved combustion.

that was the problem :) bike runs so much better now and get's top end finally also my needle had been barley sitting in it's place and that was a problem almost all my carburetors had it sliding up and down so i narrowed down a penny to fit and use the force of the throttle spring to push it down it doesnt budge now and the bike runs like a top

Hmm. Sounds like a lean condition on the fuel/air system. With the pulsing, almost sounds like the float needle may be partially blocked, or it's getting insufficient flow from the fuel tank. The other things to check, where it's racing on closed throttle, is for air leaks on the intake. Check the intake manifold gasket for leaks (simplest way is spray wd-40 at the engine where the manifold touches the intake) check the same where the carb connects to the manifold, and at the cap on top of the carb where the throttle cable enters. If none of those are a problem, that leaves bottom-end air leaks, including the seals behind the magneto and crankshaft gear, or cylinder base gasket. I'd check fuel float needle first (and for fuel intrusion into the float by shaking it) and clean the carb. Make sure that the air bypass screw is present (depending on carb model). Do the spray tests. It's most likely one of those points is faulty.

Thanks for the thorough response. I did end up cleaning the carb inside and out. Thankfully all those springs cooperated when I put it back together. That helped a little bit. But, I forgot to mention one thing, I installed a new muffler. Of course I had to customize it a little bit so that the bike peddle would clear it. This gave a 1/4 inch gap on the muffler that I stuffed with epoxy glue. It sounded really cool but it leaked and was getting noisier by the day. This is about the same time I started experiencing idling problems. I've since gotten some high temp RTV, gasket maker that goes to 650 F and seems to run way smoother. I like the way it sounded with a leak but overall performance is better this way and not the other way. Thanks for the help!

Yeah, two cycle exhaust leak will end up with the thing running lean (and thereby overly hot) as well. Glad you got it running!

+that guy - After installing as shown on the video you have to set the carburetor and that's the most important part. Depending on the motor can be as simple as tune with the air/fuel mix screw and needle height. Or some new gicleur might be needed. Last more than the engine. As no moving parts its just a chamber, can be used indefinitely. ;-)
