Boosting Concept Art Efficiency with Blender and Character Creator

Human Generator is a good, more affordable alternative to Character Creator that works right inside Blender. It has a good amount of customization for adult human characters that come already rigged. It has hairstyles, expressions, basic clothes and some basic poses. You'd still need to get more specific animations/poses from Mixamo or something similar, and you'd need to get clothes from somewhere if you needed them. I usually just use the basic clothes, pose the characters myself and paint over them in photoshop to add the specific details I need.

Indeed if you are not making animations then Daz studio is far better suited and way less expensive, for still image art, than this ridiculous method

For an indie studio, yes it is worth it. You can spend money on tools that will save you time and money or end up hiring a lot of people to do the same work. So you will definitely end up spending more money in hiring people than what you paid for software.

@@bit-studios1 The point here is that you do NOT need to buy Character creator and rent keentools to create this ,frankly mediocre, still “concept art." You could use the free DAZ studio and import a genesis 8 or 9 model with the free Diffeomorphic Blender addon and create this same still image and even get a “painterly” look with procedural shaders right inside Blender no need to hire alot of people or toss cash into the Reallusion money pit just for still concept art.

I think you can do that by using the Goz to Zbrush and manually scalping the hand, and you'll still need to edit the skeleton to remove the extra bones as well.... or you can scalp in blender...
