The goal is to maintain an optimal mist environment. Misting for a few minutes every 30-45 minutes will create a defined wet/dry cycle which is not optimal.
@@instantsiv More or less, the root tip is desiccated by the dry air causing it to die. If the root tip dies, the root will branch all the way back up the length of the root.
