Zane's whole schtick is his gadgets and his speed. Hes the only character that can use more than one special ability at a time and he can pair any two of them together. He has a drone that flies around and shoot people while healing zane, a shield that protects him and makes his bullets do more damage, a shoulder mounted laser that can one shot weaker enemies and also activates all of Zane's lesser abilities (like quicker movement speed or increased shield regeneration), and finally a holographic clone that distracts enemies and can instantly swap places with Zane and get a copy of gun to shoot people with. He's probably the most powerful character and has by far the most personality of of the 4 in the actual game. Amara seemed cool to me at first but after playing she gives off major "maybe you've heard of me, im kind of a big deal" vibes that get kind of annoying (at least to me). Also fun fact Zane went to the same assassination school as Zer0 from borderlands 2.
A bit of lore on Zane. His last name is Flynt. He has two older brothers that showed up as bosses in the first two games respectively. Explains the lone wolf demeanor
Zane is the best character for a solo play, really. Which works well for his character of "I'm always by myself". He's very funny, talks *A LOT*, and his gameplay works well as a solo player.
I feel like they're all designed decently for solo play. Amara is pretty tanky and her skills have good capabitliy to hit multiple enemies. Moze gets a giant mech suit and increased firepower. And FL4K always has a companion
I loved playing moze solo, Zane was great, flak grew on me, but I have a unending hatred for amara for being advertised as the "melee character" and honestly kinda sucking for melee.
The whole Borderlands series is really great. When you play it, you experience a ton of humor in addition to the gory violence and mayhem. I don't know if they'll ever have a villain that tops Handsome Jack from BL2 for me, though.
@@blessanabey8386 ehhh.. If you mean story wise it didn't make much sense even at the start. it kinda had star wars sequel trilogy logic that just kept getting worse.
@@murasaika2776 I guess, Most peoples Favorite is BL2 probably because of Handsome Jack and they even fleshed him out in the Tales of the Borderlands, Still My fav Bl Game to date also Bl2 and the presequel then the rest of the games in that order for me.
I used FL4K the robot beast tamer in my first playthrough co-opting with my younger brother who used Zane. I ended up using the "dog" and name him Chewy. And my brother ended up hating the "dog" because it kept stealing his kills. Wonder if you end up getting around to playing any of the Borderlands when you'll have a free slot considering it's couch co-op in all.
I made a party heal build, with a class mod I share 100% of my healing with the party. Then I combine that with the healing radiation move to temporary heal party members for 40% max health per second from anywhere.
I've been playing Zane since day one and have several hundred hours on him. Speed and snark is his MO and he cracks the most jokes between all the vault hunters.
Comically enough, Zane is an absolute blast to play. The guys's like a slightly less insane version of Kreig. Like Zero, he's always after a challenge. And he states that he and Zero used to visit some of the same assassin bars when they were younger, implying that Zero is roughly the same age as Zane. Also, he's fond of the "(insert word here) is my middle name!" trope. The actual game trailer showcases more of his abilities. His hologram clone is one skill, the shield is another. Then, he's got a combat drone, and a predator-style shoulder cannon. as the other 2 skills.
Total War: WARHAMMER III - Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs came out today as well. A nice short video you could watch. This trailer is very exciting for us Warhammer fans.
Fl4k was my first bl3 character and I had no regrets he’s also the best for solo play considering he has a skill that lets his pets revive him when in fight for your life and there are skills and class mods that make enemies target the pet and keep enemy fire off of you
Borderlands 3; very fun game, best mechanics in the series, writing and story so bad my friend REFUSED to continue playing with voices on so I had to relay everything to him. He also wanted to skip every cutscene so I had to see them myself solo to get more context but the context didn't alleviate how bad the writing was or how out-of-character older returning characters were. Out of all 4 playable characters, Amara was my favorite. Perfect excuse to enter melee in a game where everyone has a gun.
@@marquisepixley684 I mean a single scene made Ava pretty much the most hated character for the Borderlands community so that's not good. Plus that's kind of the point where the series took a serious dip in a lot of things when the DLC came out.
@@marquisepixley684 if they added in the deleted scene she would have been fine in the main game. But needing to fix it kind of denotes it was bad in the first place.
Zane Flynt is related to one of the enemies of Borderlands 2, specifically a boss who's called Captain Flynt, the former is an assassin by trade who's technologically advanced with extra grenades, a hologram, a drone and a defensive barrier, who also has a good sense of humor and a fun Irish accent, the latter is a bandit leader who has a thing for fire and torture. The tattooed chick is indeed a Siren, although she copies one of Maya's primary abilities, she has 2 extras which involve sending a phantom of herself shoving enemies away, and the second which is a simple smash the ground ability, oddly enough she doesn't use all of her siren arms at all, she's the vigilante of some random planet. The girl with her Iron Bear isn't that interesting, but she can switch up her mech's weapons from a mini-gun to a flamethrower, rocket launcher and laser gun, not on the fly but it can make a decent difference. And Fl4K, the Robotic Beastmaster with invisibility, I played him the most often, he's got 3 pets to choose from, and those pets can be evolved and become some elemental variant of their species.

@@QtAsteri honestly BL1 was more an oversized tech demo of their weapon RNG with just enough story to sell as a game. Fun but not a lot of meat story wise.
This is the one mainline story game that people really had issue with, they are wrong but not without reason. There’s some ups and downs but this was also the first game in the series where every playable character is good for every player, you literally can’t have a bad time playing them. So I can’t wait to see what Borderlands 4 holds next year! The teaser trailer dropped yesterday.

I remember all the leaks that were coming out before the game released. Everyone was trying to figure out who did what and their names. They showed a gameplay trailer but it didnt give us any info. Then they dropped these and the whole community went fucking nuts lol you guys really need to check out more borderlands stuff. I think youll find it interesting
I'm a simple person, I took Zane in my first gameplay because he has the best dialogues, I think the second time I'll go with Amara because it looks cool Siren's powers
My great couple of reactions, tekken 8 has New trailers for every Character they have, this Characters are re worked has a lot of charisma and show a lot of his own personality pls take a look at that.
Had some bad experiences with the series myself thanks to some bad co-op partners, but glad to see y'all checking Borderlands out! Anyhow, hope to see more Warhammer 3 soon, new trailer!
As someone who's played many hours of borderlands 3 I can definitely agree with both of you that Zane's trailer was the worst out the bunch. All the other trailers did a good job of giving back story to the characters or a presentation their abilities, but as a Zane main. Rewatching his trailer is a bit disappointing considering how he was sorta misrepresented. He's a lot more fun in terms of his personality and a has a pretty interesting background all things considered. So yeah he definitely got the short end of the stick with these trailers. Loved your reactions tho!
