The Bosch C7 battery charger is an intelligent/smart battery charger which can be used to charge motorcycle, cars, SUVs, heavy vehicle battery.
This charger can be used to charge 12v & 24v batteries. All wet cell, dry cell, gel type, AGM type lead acid batteries can be charged. Lithium ion batteries cannot be charged with this bosch C7 charger.
The charger has different modes for charging: 12v, 24v, AGM, Cold state charging, regeneration charging mode, power supply mode etc. The charger also comes with reverse polarity protection.
Other features include: Pulse charging, overheat protection, Memory function.
This charger is IP 65 certified.

We have been waiting for 6 hours in regeneration mode for Bosch c7 efb (battery dropped to 8.5 volts). Does the device finish the regeneration by itself or will it finish the regeneration and charge itself? I read the user manual from beginning to end but I couldn't understand anything. Do you have any information? Thanks.

Sir, I am a big big fan of yours. Can I do the charging keeping battery intact with car or should I dismantle the battery everytime before charging? Can I use it partially for jump starting say finishing my dead battery at the battery percentage 50% and Can I start the engine and go for an urgent run to expect that the rest 50% charging will be done by running the car. Is it correct sir? Kindly reply me asap

Does the C7 automatically recognise which battery I have connected? Or do I need to change the mode to R? And when I need to charge a 24v battery will it automatically recognise its 24v or do I need to manually change it?

Hi Dinesh, Keep the mode button pressed for few seconds (usually 4-5 seconds) to turn on the power supply mode.

No you do not have to if you charge it normally. It is safe to charge when battery intact with car. Unless you are using mode 4 (regeneration), which best practice is to remove the connectivity (battery) away from your car to safeguard the car electronic devices.

I Bosch C7 boiled three batteries. And after a deep charge and after a short. In general, Bosch devices are rubbish by which the manufacturer raises sales of its new batteries by killing old ones. Yes, and for a lot of money.

You can, but keep in mind this is an automatic charger which charges according to the condition of the battery so if you are looking for charging a number of batteries in a single go or want to manually adjust the feed then this might not be the right choice. I must also add this thing has the capacity to charge almost all automotive batteries (except Lithium ion and polymer batteries) including both 12V and 24V used in heavy commercial vehicles.

there is no portable charger exist like how you imagine. The most you can get is portable battery jumper only. Unless you have portable power generator, then you can use any battery charger portably anywhere. At same time , why not carry a spare car battery and swap it when the one under the hood is dead? And furthermore, as long as you can jump start your car, and your car alternator still work fine.. just go ahead to your destination and do not stop anywhere until you have driven more than 30-40 minutes (or roughly 30-40km) to ensure the battery stay working on next restart.

Hi! EFB batteries should automatically get detected and start charging (similar to what happens with AGM type batteries).

Depends on your requirement. I live in a place where it drops down to minus 30 in winters. So I need to connect this to maintain the battery overnight. Also, if you have a car or bike that is not going to be used for several weeks, it is a good idea to connect a trickle charger in order to prevent risk of deep discharge.

I have same issue as you with mine too. The way to fix it is to connect C7 to your fully discharged battery, and when u saw the blue light on, press and hold the mode selection button for around 3-4 sec until it change to yellow circle. This will turn C7 into 'power supply mode'. Leave it for estimate 15min-20min before you change back the mode to normal mode again (important). This is how I do it and works like a charm most of time in my 2nd car (super rarely driven) In power supply mode, C7 will let in electric juice inside your dead battery basically charge it (without any controller or feat u got in mode 1 or 4), but still it will juice up your dead battery with lil power.

The Sportztourer it’s been plugged in for 12-13 hours now and still says charging doesn’t indicate full battery. Maybe because I’m charging through a 100 foot connection?

If the charge was less than 25 percent then it will take more than 12-15 hours. Charging time also depends upon battery condition & sulphation levels.

Right, 10.8V is low better get it charged. I prefer bringing the battery home and keeping it for an overnight charge. These are smart chargers which switch to trickle charger mode, so no worries on overcharging the battery.

Mode 2 | 12 V (14.7 V/7 A) Suitable for batteries with a capacity of more than 14 Ah in cold state or for many AGM batteries. Press the mode selection button (8) to select Mode 2. The LEDs (12+13) will light up. If no further action is taken, then charging will automatically start after a few seconds and the LED (10) will also light up. After successful charging of the battery, the LED will light up (11) and (10) go out. After a short delay the unit switches automatically to trickle charge mode and the LED (11) flashes.

The older 2015-2016 models had this problem. It is sorted out for the new ones. C7 has this deep discharge mode which helps in reviving discharged batteries.

Regeneration mode is present in C7, if it fails to detect automatically (sometime it may take longer to detect a deep discharge battery). You can also manually select it by pressing the mode button till you get to the 'R' mode.
