And opposed to Milwaukee, Bosch powertools are actually repairable and Bosch sells you any spare part you may need. Milwaukee is pretty much unrepairable parts are too expensive and grouped together so you may need a motor controller but you have to buy the entire wiring harness and stator assembly. And they dont last long let me tell you that, battery retention and contacts are always an issue with them and Milwaukee uses very cheap low quality ball bearings that fail. Their electronics also like to just die completely. All Made in China aswell. In the US they make up for their mid grade at best tools with many design flaws that cause early failures with a great warranty policy. The TTI mothership is really milking the Milwaukee brand for every cent of profit. No such issues with Bosch or Makita tools. Higher quality bearings, engineered to last longer and rarely problems with the electronics. May not get a 5 year warranty but you dont depend on that warranty as much as you do with Milwaukee. Here in Europe not many people run Milwaukee because they DO NOT have the same 5 year warranty in Europe and the boys on site just have too many Milwaukee tools dying. Their popularity is going down actually. Used to see more Milwaukee when M18 came out on our markets. What you see the most on construction sites here is Bosch, Makita and Hilti. Hilti has the superior service and tool fleet management for large companies and Bosch and Makita just last a long time. Not uncommon to see 15-20 year old battle tried drills, angel grinders, demolition hammers etc still running from those brands. Although Hilti is more of a hire company than anything. Cant repair them and their tools dont last. But I guess its worth it for the large companies. The average guy will run Bosch or Makita. Between those brands you get the best pricing for the quality you get and Makita has such a wide range of 18V tools its worth buying into their battery system. Bosch and Makita tools are also not exclusively Made in China these days. I recently bought a Makita HR2470 SDS Hammerdrill for 100€ and its Made in Romania, very surprising for a 100€ machine. Has NSK Bearings inside, an Omron Switch and a Marquardt brush ring/direction selector, proper H07 rubber cord made by Patelec. Really sturdy well made housing, the gearbox has actual oil lip seals on the input shaft and output aka tool holder so you can fill her right up with grease and it wont leak out. Cant find anything wrong with that for a 100€ machine.

Keep checking regularly as I have saw this sale multiple times throughout the year. Amazon and Lowes are constantly auto matching each other's Bosch tool prices online which is why Lowes had for 199$ and happen to have the battery/charger for free at the same time. Even if they show the battery out of stock one day, check the next day and good chance will be back in stock (may take week or so but when in stock they go fast on that day). Good luck and thanks for watching!

I think the Bosch mid torque GDS=18V 330CN is an awesome auto shop tool. I do agree with you..If the blue cool aid is cheaper (in price) why not pull the trigger. Recently I bought some yellow cool aid and..it ain’t too bad 😊

Yea when you can get equivalent tool and battery for same price it's well worth it!

I see the convenience of the battery powered stuff, but those impact wrenches are so bulky I still like air even though you can’t take it everywhere but I might be getting the Bosch 770 3/4 impact wrench

Yea I agree these high torque wrenches are very bulky, however if you need the max power there are compromises if you want mobility. My go to is the Milwaukee M12 stubby as its very small and has the power needed for most passenger car applications.

This tool is a bit an overkill for tyres' bolts so I wish you tested it on heavier stuff.
@TeamDIYNow
@TeamDIYNow Год назад
Yea I agree this thing is overkill. I figured if someone needed this high of torque, they would be working on larger equipment than what I own. I have thought about building some sort of bolt rack where I can torque bolts on the fly to a very high torque to get a real-world demo but haven't officially built yet. I will see what I can do in the future.

@@TeamDIYNow I would buy Milwaukee any day because Bosch has become an average quality brand. But I already have a Bosch drill set so I'm constrained to buy this impact wrench so I can use the same batteries. There is another issue that I've 4Ah batteries then the impact wrench won't perform well so I need to take a big decision, sell my Bosch stuff and buy an expensive Milwaukee set or buy this Bosch save money and be happy with 60% of power.

@@billadmond9450 I used it a few times with the 4ah Core and it worked fine. They do advertise the 8ah as alot more power but for most bolts the 4ah should work good.

@@TeamDIYNow Indeed Bosch is pushing the Core battery marketing machine but I've the non Core ones so what should I do, throw away my expensive tool set and be part of Bosch's marketing scam? Regarding batteries look at Milwaukee and Hikoki (and some Metabo in the US), they have a very open policy about swapping among different batteries. I already asked Bosch Australia regarding compatibility but a marketing moron over there replied by suggesting me another tool which costs 50% more instead of answering my question about a Profactor tool! These are the things that I don't like about Bosch.

The way I would think of the Bosch regular batteries vs the Core is similar to Milwaukee's regular vs high output. Both will work in any of their 18v tools; however all manufactures are maxing output in tools because of the improvements in the batteries. They advertise this impact with 1180 torque with a 8ah Core battery. Will it still work with the non-core batteries absolutely; however it will not put out the same max torque.

To test a impact wrench don’t lug nut Find some super rusty bolts
@TeamDIYNow

Thats a fair argument and something I thought about when doing this video. However, the reality is with an impact with 1200 ft lbs outside of working on some heavy-duty commercial equipment there's nothing on a passenger vehicle that will give this tool a problem. Rusty bolts, cross threaded bolts etc this thing is going to have zero problems with tearing the bolt off. Thats why I decided on a live example of what most people would use an impact on a vehicle which is lug nuts. Trust me, if I had a couple hundred k dozer out back I would have used in the demo.

@@TeamDIYNow I understand I one but only have a 2.0ah battery and trying to find a better battery
@TeamDIYNow

@@persiangodlegend8166 The Bosch 4, 6, or 8ah CORE batteries are an excellent option. The rating of 1,180 ft lbs on this tool is based on the 8ah core battery. Bosch claims this 8ah battery has 75% more power than the core 4ah. The core 4ah has 60% more power than the 2ah. Amazon is about the cheapest you will find: amzn.to/3T2asZy
