In this episode I'm rebuilding and restoring my warm up regulator. It's a part of Bosch K-Jetronic Continuous Injection System (CIS) used on these cars. I got my kit from Missingparts.de.
Thank you for watching!

Very nice. My only quibble is that the finish after soda blasting is true to the original.
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice 2 года назад
It leaves the aluminum stained. I need to get a vapor blaster to get the proper finish, but they are very pricey.
@jeffhammond8969
@jeffhammond8969 2 года назад
@@RestorationApprentice that makes sense! Would dry ice cleaning also provide the correct finish? (Even more expensive than vapor blasting to get the equipment to do at home)😄
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice 2 года назад
Yeah, dry ice would definitely work, but as you said, even more $. You gotta work with what you have.

That’s for the video, it’s really helping me out. At 3:44 you pop out the top disc which has a thin silver one attached to it. Mine does not come out (the silver one). It’s totally stuck and I don’t want to force it. Have used penetrating spray to no avail. Suggestions?
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice Год назад
Hmmm... Maybe try to leave it soaking for a day or something like that?... Or you can gently pry it with a razor blade as you get a new disc in the kit.

@@RestorationApprentice thanks for the quick reply. Actually just got it out, I didn’t realize how thin it was, so I was prying too low beneath it. Good thing the kit comes with one as I very slightly kinked it. Hopefully this does the trick! Keep up the great work.

Hi! Thanks for the very informative video! Did you have the chance yet to test it? Any adjustements were required? Thanks

Not yet! These can't be adjusted as is, but there's a modification to make them adjustable. We'll see.

Wow so shiny! I wish I had more tools. I assume you replaced all of the gaskets, where did you get them?

Can I ask was there any recalibration or adjustments needed, or just refasten the bolts and go?
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice Год назад
No adjustments needed... There is a mod that allowes you to adjust it via a screw, if you search it online

After you rebuilt this WUR did you have any issues with cold start etc? How’s the cars system pressure and control pressure?
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice Год назад
Haven't tested anything yet. My parts are still of the car as I'm doing the full restoration.

Wur opuszcza lekko cisnienie z nad bolcem tokiem sterujacym ,ten lekko jest uniesiony i dawka paliwa jest wieksza.. . Czy dobrze to rozumiem?
@RestorationApprentice
@RestorationApprentice 6 месяцев назад
when warm it closes a bit to reduce amount of fuel, as it needs more fuel when cold. From what I understand.
