Great review and I love the way how you tested the audio quality by walking around. I currently own a JBL partybox 110 and owned it for several months now. However, i find the mids and highs not that great but the bass never disappoints. Currently, i’m looking for a system that delivers a complete package in terms of lows, mids and highs. Apparently, bose provides all these. The L1 pro 8 is probably my next upgrade due to its compact size, easy to carry around, great for acoustic indoor/outdoor events, and karaoke sessions. Massive thanks to you buddy!
Mate of all the you tube demo videos I've seen of any product ,this was by far the best I've ever seen . So well presented so easy to follow you. . Very good man
This is perfect to use with my S1. Glad I did not buy L1 compact. Now this can control the sound through app. In fairness you have good singing voice. Thanks for the test.👏👏👏
Excellent job on this demo! Nice to see someone using it the same way I would; using my own full-range backing music, plus an acoustic guitar, and vocals for small-to-medium venues. Okay, okay, gonna buy one of these! I've used the old L1 Compact, and this is MUCH better!
Perfect Balance of size, weight, and overall sound! Pro 8 is probably the best bang for your buck. Can you do a comparison between the other line arrays your have like the Bose L-1 Compact and JBL Models. Also the S-1 pro too? Thanks
Hi Happyrider, thank you for the great video, how does it compare to the original L1 compact? It is nearly double the cost, is it twice as loud? Many thanks Alan.
Question... how do you compare the Bose L1 Pro8 to the Bose S1 pro? I play in an acoustic duo and think the Pro8 may be perfect for our mid level shows....
This is a great video, thank you for sharing!! You mentioned you also have a JBL eon one pro. How would you compare this Bose to the JBL eon pro one? I have a JBL eon pro one, but it’s starting to crackle and so it’s time to buy a new speaker. Curious to know your opinion in quality and volume output, since I do a lot of our outdoor fitness classes and need my music loud for the outdoor space :-) Would you say the Bose is comparable to the JBL? Or better?
I personally like the Bose L1 pro8 better than the jbl eon one pro. The main point for me is the vocal, and the L1 pro 8 hands down has better vocal. All other aspects of the pro8 is good well. I like all the presets and tuning of bose overall in compare to Jbl. But then the eon one pro has the built in battery which the l8 doesn’t. So it may ultimately comes down to what fits better for you.
Hi sir, Congratulations for a very useful post. I have a question. I am undecided about my living room. Do you think I should buy 2 S1 Pros or one Pro 8 will be enough to listen to music and watch movies at home and to get effective and quality sound at low volume? My living room is 35 square meters.
While I do really love the S1, I think one pro8 or pro16 would be good enough if you can place it in a good spot in the room. Because even with two S1 you still may find it to be lacking some bass as compared to the one Pro8.
Thank you so much for the best review on this product, all others were incomplete and no real sound test.. Most would just play guitare ..🙄 Have you compared with yamaha stagepass 1k ? I'm curious..
I have seen both your video for l1 pro 8 and pro 16.. i am looking to buy a pair of either pro 8 or pro 16... Which one would you recommend... I will use it mostly with my tv as my wife and mother use to do karaoke... A home theatre unfortunately is not doing the job
Greate review! I purchased two L1 Pro 8 after viewed your video, however there're some white/static noises when I turned them on. I didn't heard these white/static noises in this setup video. Would you let me know how to resolve it? Thanks
I’ve had the L1 compact for about ten years now and it has been adequate for 95% of my gigs. That said there are times when I wish it had a liiiiiitle more power. Is the L1 Pro 8 more powerful in your opinion? I can’t seem to find wattage info for both. Trying to determine if I should wait for the 16 or just go with the 8.
Thank you for reviewing. Newbie question, im thinking to buy the Bose Soundbar 700. Can I just get this one and use for movie theater at home as well? I also love karaoke, but with Bose 700 i dont think it s as good right?
There was no mixer used in this video. Everything you heard is all purely from the Bose tone match built in to the speaker. The mic set I used is called “Hotec wireless mic”
Hey Happy! How you been? Still the same copywrite free song? Lol Sooo Bose didnt put a rechargeable battery like the S1 Pro...huh?.. They want people to buy this one...THEN few years later theyll make a 15 hour battey model. Im not gonna fall for it...lol. I have 2 S1 and the L1 compact and since I (was) working so much before Covid (YUCK!!!) I got the Maui Go 5 and very happy with it. I use a battery operated 4 ch mixer 6 inches big...and Im good to go for 4 vocals plus music. When they come out with the same Pro8 with battery...maybe...but Ill have to sell my L1 Compact first. P.S. youre wife must be a "saint!"...lol 5?? S1s?? Im lucky my wife is a singer too,but she still says" ANOTHER SPEAKER???"... Good video.. Be safe! Barry
I’m great, thanks! Yeah, still the same song. Everytime I use another song, the video gets a copyright and I have to record everything over. This is the only song that never fails 😂. They might actually do what you suggested about the battery. It’s just a matter of time. Maybe another 5-10 years? Lol My wife still says those words lol “AGAIN? Another speaker?” I will probably end up getting rid of some of the older speakers to make room for newer ones ;) ..... I’ll have to checkout the Maui go 5
@@HRR Loloh no youre wifes gonna blame me for ...the Maui 5! Lol.. it has the rechargeable battery in the column. As in the Bose you have the bottom (woofer) 1st column battery , then the spacer to make it higher then the tweeter up top... I bought a SECOND battery column, so if its a long gig,I can revolve the batteries and play while the first battery recharges. It can go like that for 30 hours! Its sounds dry and flat but if you use a small mixer with eq you can get a great sound. You didnt say the Pro8 has a app mixer control. That makes it desirable...but still for me I love the battery features on Bose and Jbl eon and Maui 5...take care, friend!😊
I just bought one, when I try to turn the volume 100 percent for the microphone it makes flyba,is that because of the room is too small??is that normal??and also I hear a little noise coming out if I get really close to the speakers only with the microphone on,is that also normal????
