This is honestly one of those songs that I cannot believe exists. I didn't think even Meguro had it in him to be insane enough to put text-to-speach Alfred to an electric guitar
SMT III: The only game where you start off looking for your teacher to get career advice, and end with creating your own new world by punching the moon in the face.
What better career than to become the right hand man of Lucifer himself? I mean that's a pretty successful gig. Literally earned it with his bare hands.
This is why I love this song as the boss theme so much. Its literally me (and demifiend) saying "sigh, ANOTHER boss battle??" The epitome of me being sick of nocturne and wanting to move on to another SMT game lol
@@derpingflamingo >The epitome of me being sick of nocturne and wanting to move on to another SMT game lol Nah SMT Nocturne is the black sheep of the SMT series: it's actually good
Demifiend: ''GET'' *punches every demon to death* ''ON'' *punches ahriman, ba'al and noah* ''MY'' *punches the fucking sun in the face and kills it* ''LEVEL!'' *punches lucifer*
Although if you listen close enough you can actually hear the lyrics: We'll sacrifice the son of Heaven! Man's greatest glimpse of fire red! Oh, how they're lost in their prayers for our greatest god! Let me sleep, please! I am a man, half-human! I am tired as heart and person weaken! On the name of God! I will not crack! Can you hear them? God! I will not crack! Can you hear them?
SMT games in a nutshell... Random person gets stuck in the middle of a whole lot of shit and ends up becoming strong enough to beat up gods and devils.
This sounds like the perfect premise for a parody game. Just make the character selfaware and just fed up with the powercomplex and just wants to get home
@@lemetams6972 Given how the Demi-Fiend is a Silent Protagonist in Nocturne, you can make him this by having his whole motivation throughout the whole game in your headcanon just be that he's searching the Vortex world for his hoodie (or his leather jacket if you picked that on NG+) and doesn't actually give a shit about creation and will side with whichever forces will result in him getting his Hoodie (or Jacket) back.
@@lemetams6972 The whole MC saying fuck this shit can be done in DevilSurvivor Overclocked if you choose Yuzus path go abandon the goal of Fighting Babel.
If you look at the lyrics they seem more like Demi-Fiend's words. Plus they even say they are just a man, half human. There are very few half-human characters, sooo I'm pretty sure that takes Angel out of the picture. Plus they talk of sacrificing the son of heaven, why would an Angel want to do that? XD lol My vote is that this is from Demi-Fiend's perspective and these are the thoughts he has as he approaches the True Demon Ending.
I think it's more for a Neutral Demifiend. He still sees himself as a man, and not a demon. He's been abused by both Lucifer's army and God's minions, but he isn't going to crack under pressure from either of them. This world is for humans. Angels and demons be damned.
WE'LL SACRIFICE THE MILK AND EGGS MAN'S GREATEST USE OF FLOUR WHITE A HUNDRED FROSTINGS IN THE LAYERS OF THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CAKE GET ME YEAST PLEASE I'M BAKER'S MAN HALF CUBAN I'LL GET FIRED IF THE CAKE IS NOT DONE FOR THIS WEEKEND
i hear WORLD'S GREATEST CAKE more than WORLD'S BIGGEST CAKE but YES this is cooking by the book, antichrist edition. ...implying that lazytown isn't already satanic
I really love how fitting this theme is for the protag/demi-fiend. Standing on the rooftop with Yuko, and all of the sudden he’s told by his home room teacher that the world is coming to an end. Then later waking up realizing he is no longer human, a monster, who cannot turn away even if he wanted to.. All of the pain yet he has to continue the journey to change the world Maybe I’m thinking about this too much
Even more interesting with the TDE, I wonder how his thought process changed from "What the hell happened to me!?" to (spoilers) "I want to join Lucifer's army and abandon my humanity"
@@hexenvexen maybe similar to hijiri (I think I spelled that right) and how he went from wanting to learn more to the knowledge he gained drove him basically insane. Instead of the protagonist saying “hey I have all this knowledge here, I should be the creator of the new world” it would probably go like “I have all this power, and almost everyone I knew is a jerk or dead so what’s the point in fighting for good.” Curiosity kills the cat
@@hexenvexen TDE makes sense. I always leaned towards the interpretation that Demi Fiend starts off just trying to survive and find his friends and teacher and even gets along with Hijiri well enough for a bit but as everyone he knows goes off the fucking deep end and he's forced to become increasingly stronger and fight off who used to be his friends while splitting his time delving deeper into the Labyrinth, he abandoned his humanity after realizing the cycle of rebirth and all that is all a load of bullshit and he decides to personally put an end to the fucker who put him through this shit to begin with.

Official lyrics according to Atlus. We'll sacrifice the son of Heaven!
Juanvideo100 Surprisingly that path is only exclusive to Maniax and international versions. It’s like ATLUS told Japan “You want the true ending? Buy the second or third version!”
If Nocturne was made later, it would have been a free DLC because I'm sure they released an inferior version at first because the Japanese are very anal about schedule, to the point they have to skip completing a game-we're lucky they still wanted to make the True Demon Ending, because it's not just iconic and important to the overall story, it's the canon ending thanks to SMT IV A.
@@Kamisuitendo i got a lil bit sick of it during that part when you're chasing the kaiwan and it played for every single one, and even when you found the real one, it just plays it again. I still like the track but its put on some pretty meh fights a lot
@@chelronin7843 IKR?? Fierce battle is cool af and all and its what got me into the game but holy shit i listened to this and i cant freaking stop, its too epic and also gives off that inevitable danger vibe
I call this the “i’m so fucking ready to punch Lucifer” theme . It’s one of those pieces that just pushes you forward and show the boss everything you got. Great for hitting PRs at gym
Jonathan M That’s literally me! I listen to this at church sometimes, and I honestly feel very uncomfortable. I always think that if anyone were to hear any track on the Nocturne OST that involved these Mac OSX Albert vocals, they’d think I’m summoning Satan. 😂
Today i beat both Thor and Dante first try unprepared... and honestly, seeing my brother high five me when i beat thor after almost losing in battle, especially since he knows the difficulty of nocturne despite never playing it, is really refreshing to me
i cant unhear: we'll sacrifice the son of heaven. i kind of enjoyed the song more when i thought it was barking, now its pretty evident how short it is.
My headcannon is the parasite in demifiend's head is the one creaming the lyrics at him, pushing him to defeat the boss and keep them both alive. That's why it sounds super echoey, it's coming from inside of him.

Not sure why this popped up in my relateds but it's always a good thing to stop and appreciate how fucking badass the mainline music is. As much as I love Persona, the overly poppy sound of like 98% of the music (basically everything outside straight up boss fight music) never gets me as hyped as the classic Meguro Shoji sound.
RESET THE BOX OR SOME KINDA THING MANS GREATEST STAKES, I'VE EVER HAD OH HOW WE'VE LOST, HER RIDERS OF THE GREASE TOP CAN YOU SLEEP? PLEASE!? I'M HALF POT, HALF HUMAN I'M ON FIRE AND THE SWORDS MADE OF CRYSTAL I AM HERE FOR GOD! I AM ON CRACK CAN YOU EAT IT!? GOD! I AM ON CRACK CAN YOU EAT IT!?
i think it'd be very badass if meguro shoji actually mixed different genres into one game. i liked that rap from persona 3 and the regular pop from persona 4 was ok but this i love you my sweet lord satan hard rock is pretty cool too.
Must admit that this is quite an original lyrics style for soundtrack I'm sad they didn't take this style for SMTIV they really make this games battle themes quite unique.
