I see many people that want a new Berserk game, that plays like Dark Souls... When I see this gameplay, I want a New Berserk game with an updated and improved version of THIS gameplay. Now that shit would be awesome.

My god, Guts' voice for the 97 anime and this game is so perfect. Not really a fan of the new voice, he tries way too hard to sound tough.

Is it weird that I actually kinda like the noises Guts’s sword is making? Sure it sounds like he’s tearing open a black hole every time he swings it but I like intense sounds like that. (Plus he’s swinging a sword bigger than he is with one hand in a world where that’s a crazy thing for an ordinary person like him to do, so that makes some sense at least)

Maybe namco bandai and from software will do a berserk game because the director of dark souls, Hidetaka Miyazaki admits that he loves berserk and made even a boss that refers to Guts: Artorias the Abysswalker.

Bro the animations in the cutscenes and combat mechanics are way better than the 2016 anime. Yes, I am still complaining how they managed to make this game look better than the 2016 one with better technology and animation studios in place. They even know how a huge sword should sound like when it swings and clash with another sword, not just dashing in a audio recording of two cast-iron skillet smashing together.

Not only that, the camerawork and the modeling in this game were pitch-perfect. I actually still think this is the best animated adaptation of Berserk so far, even with those recent OVAs. The modellers in this game really took their time to match Miura's artwork.

I can already tell this was emulated by how bad the ssound effects sound.

Literally just got past this part in the manga. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the cutscenes were taken directly from it, composition-wise.

My gods if I wish I was in Japan when this was released I would have loved it. Berserk is my all time favorite manga/anime series, and this game looks pretty damn close to the source material. Plus seeing Guts just blast enemies in the face with the cannon always makes me smile ^_^

Why does Guts' voice sounds childlike and Griffith's voice sounds manly? It should be the other way around.

Zodd is significantly smaller in this for some odd reason. In the show he is he at least 2.5x times bigger then Guts, after transformation 3.5x times

I bought this pirate game as a boy, I was about 9 years old at the time, the scenes I had from the eclipse felt like something I shouldn't be playing but the gameplay felt so good and despite not understanding shit because it was in Japanese. Details like the sword getting covered in blood and the enemies flying to pieces are things that stuck with me.

The Berserk series has been ongoing for 27 years since it began, I think the berserk series will end at Volume 50. Which I assume that after this arc of the elf island, there will be one more arc after this which will end the series, I can see that when guts see's The elf king, Guts will be set free from the brand of sacrifice for he had for a while. To be able to defeat Griffith and the god hand. Guts cannot defeat them, because darkness cannot win against darkness, especially with the berserker armour which is the representation of darkness. I imagine that guts will receive a new armour, new power that doesn't cause harm to himself like the berserker armour. Guts will transform from darkness to light from the support of the Elf King, to be able to defeat Griffith and the God Hand. Also Kentaro Miura interview in the year 2000. The interviewer ask Kentaro a question and said "Is it even possible that we’ll see a happy ending? And Kentaro said "I’d say it’s possible. I used to have the final moves planned out, but lately I’ve been thinking I’d rather figure them out when I come to it, so now it’s hard to say what could happen. Being the sort of person I am, though, I actually don’t think I could let such a long grim story end with a grim ending - like, say, having him suddenly die. I don’t really like that kind of entertainment. I’ll leave it to my subconscious." Tell me what you think.
