Bouboo won the first round, but without the decision we wouldn't have seen Batalla's second round...absolutely amazing. Holy shit.

Years ago I was saying Bouboo, but now that I've grown in my knowledge of dance, I definitely see why Batalla won. I didn't have as much as a trained eye back then. That final round by Batalla was FIRE!!!! Sheesh!

I feel the same in terms of understanding hip hop as a style, this wasn’t an all styles event, and batalla had much more bounce throughout his rounds. What Bouboo does and continues to do is extremely technical, and amazing musically but I can see why it didn’t win in this battle. I do observe that hip hop is an evolving style, and there are a lot of people who would be upset if we ignore the foundation, but I do wonder what to call bouboo’s style. It’s partially because I still have much to learn about dance and always will. I love his moves and wouldn’t want him to be limited in his vocab, but I suppose there’s something to be said about dancing within a style, and I guess it wasn’t hip hop enough… I’m open to more discourse about it.

its because of the judges .. they wanted the easier way to the finals man .. watch Ben and his round , he destroyed i dont remember battala or alex but he lost .. because icee and physs wanted to get easier to the final ..

Batalla attempts to dance to multiple elements of the beat at once, most of the time id say successfully. Boubou is one of the cleanest dancers in hiphop but tends to focus on 1 elements at a time. Thats why id give 2nd round to batalla too.

The reason battala won is because the judges liked him better just like boubou has a bigger fan base in this comment section, and that is why people r saying he should have won. Leave it to the professionals.

I see a lot of comments saying Bouboo won... I actually am a fan of his creativity but in a hip hop battle i would say Batalla won cause he had multiple elements in it which is extremely hard to pull off (no offense to anyone just my personal opinion)

They did Bouboo so dirty on the first round - a tie?! Nah! ... intentionally forcing a dancer to use extra moves in his bag when he CLEARLY won ... now he has to sacrifice moves as the competition goes on.... SMH!

Scott Fibanacci It's not that - it's just principle ... he clearly won but was forced to dance again - dancers have a bag of certain moves (combos/grooves/etc) - so he was forced to use more when he didn't have to... and most obviously try to save their best for the later rounds in the competition - strategy.

Bouboo has refined style but I see patterns after watching 1st and 2nd battles - not the case with Batalla. He's not as clean but definitely has more variety.
