Mengmei’s (Michelle) life was taken away brutally, violently and for a reason one can only describe as sadistic and cruel. Came across this case about 2 years ago and this is one of the most infuriating cases of violence against women that I have encountered. Derek is a monster who saw the women living with him as sex objects. He tortured Michelle to gratify his sick fantasies. His lack of respect for her is beyond me. I hope he rots in hell. I hope Michelle's family and friends find the peace that they all deserve. May Michelle rest in peace.

I'd love to see golden brown shadow show. You heavily cover your violet-red eye circles, then add reddish shadow? Use complementary color correction like gold for purple or greenish for red.

This man is disgusting, she was not even checking for him and he was in a fantasy world . Watching a lot of corn can create unreal expectations of intimacy. I hate that she even stayed there with him . The wife didn’t see any red flags at all towards her niece ? Thanks for sharing how this case has been playing on your mind. Mental Health is important and especially for you and your kids. I'm in Sydney and remember this happening and when I saw him, he just looks like a dirty creep lurking in the shadows and although what was found on the USB was not good and very disturbing, it showed him for what he is, a MONSTER. this case is so heartbreaking 💔 what a horrible horrible crime. i hope he gets what he deserves. i also find it so disappointing when the courts are blocked by technicalities like that, the usb was discovered and no doubt deeply effected her family, the woman who discovered it, the judge who had to witness it, and his sentence didn’t even see any real change.

I know you think part of your sole is now lost because of the horrors you read/seen in this case, but please please I hope you realize that God has chosen YOU to convey what happened to this and many more people and the only way he would of chosen you is because he knows YOU are strong, MUCH stronger then you think, he wouldn't put more on you then you can handle so believe me HE has protected your soul and will continue on doing so. If you don't believe in God then this applies to what/who ever your belief in lies(I believe we ALL believe in the same God and just have different names for them-excluding satan of course). Your a beautiful lady BTW and I can see strength in your eyes- you are one of the 'good guys' sent here to HELP all of us understand the horrors some people inflict on others and we wont be able to evolve if we dont know what/where the problems are to fix! New subscriber and this is my second video watching of yours both so horrible, Thank you for covering these really horrific crimes because it’s important for these women to know how common this is. I can’t imagine doing research for these harder cases and seeing images or like you said reading transcripts of the horrific SA and murder that happened to this bright beautiful young lady that thought she was safe in her own home with family. Zara 😭 I never make comments like this but I just felt the need to say, the transition to your ad at the start of the video was insensitive and it took me by major surprise. Normally you are so respectful and tell these stories with such respect and reverence to the victims. I truly cannot stand predators using bullying, abuse, or loss as an excuse to harm others. It does not justify their actions. Same with certain drugs these monsters claim to have been under the influence of. (Cóke, Mëth, Wəəd, Ex, Xan, Alcøhøl). I feel the same for any type of abuse: physical, mental, verbal sêxųal. It all comes down to choice. Free will.

Zara you make sure you take good care of yourself as you research these cases. It is nothing short of admirable that you want to be a voice for these victims and their families and to raise awareness where there is way too little. As you do so however, always take time to take care of yourself. It is easy to burn out when you have an empathic heart. You owe us nothing- we will all still be here if occasionally you post a little late, etc. Always put yourself first- I think I can speak for all of us when I say that. This is a tough realm to work in. Be as good to you as you are to others.

I know Australia doesn't have the death penalty but in situations like this i wish it was a form of punishment over there. What that POS did to Michele was beyond depraved,& sickening. The fear and pain she went through is heartbreaking! 😢 as a victim of sa this is horrible.. some days I wish I wouldn’t have to live and go through ptsd n depression but then I hear cases like this and I am grateful but torn apart that someone else has to go through this. I feel people that sa people and who do shi like this.. should get the death penalty. I hate to say that but I really do. And his words are trash. Hi Zara … Sorry to say this there is no law in Australia My brother got stabbed on the train. The guy stabbed my brother in the heart not only he stabbed him he twisted the knife. At the court he was gonna walk free When my dad spoke he said over my dead body that he is walking free.. People a So heartless wow judge santince him not in prison;in mental hospital He was in there for one & half years. Ever since my brothers murder I can’t use public transport. Years letter I had to come over my fear so one day that I got on the train with my anxiety & so scared that I don’t come a cross him but 😮 the guy murred my brother he was on the train sitting right in front of me😮😢some one tel me what is a human life worth?

I just found your channel, and you have a new sub, can't wait to see more!! I also wanted to tell you about a case in the U.S. that also had a usb. A woman found it on the sidewalk, and it contained a murder. It happened in Alaska and the guy was from South Africa. Crazy cases, with sick creeps. Great video!!

I’m usually not a fan of makeup and crime, as I often think its a bit disrespectful to pair them. But you are different. You give respect to these victims. People forget that true crime isn’t just a story, it’s someone’s story.. one that ended abruptly most times. Thank you for giving that due respect that others don’t. With that being said though, the ad placement here was definitely insensitive. Regardless, I feel heartbroken for Michelle and her family. God bless her soul
