Bow looks like it will be outrageously strong once we get some of the core stamina and element skills on there. I'm glad they at least gave us stamina surge. Also, 1:41 Interesting little teleportation trick Rey Dau pulled there.
Something that wasnt really taken advantage of in this video is that you regain stamina upon side stepping an attack, highly encouraging an aggressive playstyle
Yah I don’t think you’ll even need a ton of stamina skills tbh, you get so much back by just dodging well, which also gives you charge levels. Bow is looking crispy in this game
Bow is WAY better than it's ever been in this iteration of mh. Wilds vers of the bow is super fun and ridiculously op now that coatings are infinite and no longer need to buy/craft them or keep fast traveling back to camp to restock which was extremely annoying and tedious imo. Then there's the tracer arrow which makes your next shots hit their intended mark. It's really amazing how far the bow has come from where it use to be in older games where it took awhile for it to take off but nowadays it's extremely busted.
Might as well call the weapon AimBot because it’s not a "Bow" completely "missed the the mark " for what the weapon that is originally intended for aiming properly to get the most out of it
you mean Furious Rajang? Probably gonna end up with some similar mechanic to tempered and I'm putting my money on Ajarakan being a problem when that time comes...
Wow the bow is looking amazing in the wilds, I was planning on going with HBG but the bow is so attractive now that I'm having second thoughts lol. I know it's just a beta and the monsters that appear in it are literally the first ones in the game, but from all the videos I've seen of players fighting Rey Dau he looks so easy, I mean he hits like a truck but his attacks are so telegraphed and there's so much time between them. I don't know if it's because I was fighting the endgame monsters in Sunbreak or if it's just me who thinks this...
Oh, damn, When the showcase first released I thought to myself "Ah, the homing arrows aren't going to be that strong. " They follow the monster like it owes them money.
@@JYinferno684 That is absolutely false. Maybe it’s this persons audio but it sounds like Fire Force when playing. MHW had rocks coming out of the monsters and a basic sound
I don't know about yall but hammer feels like your hitting things with a cement truck maybe other weapons don't have the same impact but idk to me it feels fire
How do you unlock the rey dau hunt? Straight after me and my buddies slayed doshaguma, we started another doshaguma quest but just went to kill rey dau thinking that that was the only way to fight him.
Once you see him on the map just go to his icon and open a quest with him as a target. Once you've slain him once you can just open up a quest/look for one
As a bow main, it would probably be nerfed and I think its ok, if a weapon to OP other weapon mains that dont use bow will hate it, plus everyone would start using it as well. Love to see the dragon piercer attack (I guess? It has a different name on the UI) being useful again since its very useless in sunbreak. Idk, I havent tried wilds beta so I cant make a stable opinion for now lol
The bow sounds are so unsatisfying compared to World though. A powershot feels like a punch in MHW, but here it just sounds flat. It's weird, because every other weapon sounds so much better. I do like they toned down the hit efx though.
For the true min maxers you can turn on true damage values which have your exact damage down to the decimal. You can either go true numbers in settings World/Rise base damage numbers (default setting) Or turn damage numbers off completely
Excellent work. I seen so much footage of reydau's head glowing red after he vents his horns due to his big electric attack; it's a free focus attack and no one was taking advantage of it. It doesn't have to be a wound and I knew it. This guy is the only one to take advantage.
Not sure how I feel about tracking arrows. I feel like it removes so much of the skillcap but maybe it'll make more sense when I get my hands on it when steam beta releases. It seems to build up ammo very quickly so I'm not sure if I like that tbh.
I feel like the monster are weaker than on release so it will probably be harder than this i feel like they’re not aggressive enough and not doing any 4-5 hit combos on the player before giving you an open window to attack.
Almost all weapons have new moves and look cool. Not the case with cb's new moveset. The guy who designed the new cb came into work one day, looked at the new movesets for other weapons and went "NAWHHHH, cb aint gettin none of that shit. imma decimate this weapon"
I hope they add a setting to get rid of that health bar effect. Itll be very difficult fighting a monster with my health wiggling right in my peripherals
Bow used to be all about critical distance, precision aiming, and narrowing avoiding attacks. MH Wilds turned the Bow into a baby weapon. Homing arrows, homing focus mode attack, that crazy dodge move with i-frames. This is ridiculous.
It's a demo. They lower just about all of the stats for every monster, barring the favorites like flagships and whatever the devs deem a "late-game" challenge.
