For me it comes down to the B&W PX7 S2 and the QC45's. The NC 700's are just too big and bulky. I read that B&W fixed the software issues, specifically the sensors that turn them on/off when you remove a can to talk instead of using transparency mode. They now work as advertised. For me though noise cancelling is just as important as sound quality and this is where the QC45's stand out. In addition the sound quality of the QC45's seem on par with the Px7 S2's if not slightly less clarity in the mids but overall comparable. Plus they are lighter and more compact for traveling. So I'm leaning towards the QC45's (Sony's are completely off the table for me with the touch controls - it would drive me crazy).
Just got my PX 7 today. Amazing bull quality and fantastic sound. Only problem I have is as soon as I walk 6 to 7 steps I get slight interruptions . I double checked with my 50 Euro Bluetooth headphones and no problems at all . Anyone experienced this or is it just me. Thx
I have the senhiser 458bt and when I use them with my s10 and s21 it sound like I'm using different headphones s21 has no bass sounds so flat and bad compare d to the s10. You can worry about using sbc or aptx or how good your audio file is the phone is what makes by far the most difference and that's what you need to worry about.
@GYMCADDY did the firmware update for the QC45's reduce cabin pressure? I seem to recall you thought the QC45 had more cabin pressure than the XM4's in your comparison last year.
Priorities change depending on the scenario where you plan to use your headphones. If you plan to sit back, relax, and focus all your attention on your music, the top priority is sound quality (and comfort). In this scenario, however, you will achieve better sound quality with wired headphones and, since you are not moving, you don’t even need Bluetooth. If you plan to use your headphones during commutes, while exercising, or for the whole day at work, your attention won’t be focused on your music and priorities change. Convenience, comfort, noise isolation and a non-fatiguing sound signature (laid-back, warm & mellow) will make you happier than an analytical, detailed, brighter sound. Hence, spending more on a Bluetooth headphone that focuses mainly on “sound quality” (wired headphones will anyway sound better), while cheaper wireless alternatives offer better comfort, noise isolation and a mellower sound better suited for fatiguing or chaotic scenarios, sounds like reasoning outside the container to me. I do think Bose could (and should) give users decent audio codecs (aptX HD or LDAC).
OK this is for gymcaddy himself is there any comment from you about this situation have you tried android and iPhone and which do you think gives better audio quality forget about any apps or equaliser which gives the better sound. Which phone is best to use. And I used your review to buy the senhiser because you said they had better sound over sonys.
What's the point of all these good headphones if where not going to get the full potential from them. We all use Bluetooth from our phones to listen to the headphones right, so why are samsung taking the piss with their new phones like s21 and s22 the audio the audio quality is so rubbish compared to their older devices like the s10. Why does no one care about this.
What the hell is this the audio quality from your phone matters more than any of this. Rather than comparing headphones Compare Bluetooth audio quality from phones. There is massive difference between using an s21 for example compared with iPhone 13. S21 much more harsh and less bass.
Your comment ISN'T useless. I own xm4,xm5, and the momentum 4. The momentum 4 was given high praise by all reviewers, even said to outshine the XM5 in sound quality. So I was really disappointed when they underperformed for me and when using the senhieser app it did very little to improve anything. Finally I realized that samsung is limited to only standard Aptx,sbc, and Ldac. But that still doesn't make sense how poorly they perform even aptx should sound great. (I'm using fold4/s21)
@@c.carrillo7813 I'm telling you the sound quality will be better of you use an s8 a9 or s10 I know I've tried it. I even have a s21 but bought and s10 because the older Samsung devices are better and have better sound quality and I'm telling you my s10 sounds better than my s21. Try to use an older samsung phone like the s10 but not the s20 or s21. Hope this helps
