I started bow hunting in 1989.im now 41 yrs old & i have seen alot of things change in the archery world.alot! I used a bear whitetail 2 bow with rocky mountain broadheads & fingers looking at brass pin sights.hunting out of a solid 65 lb solid steel climbing stand.i have watched alot of youtube archery vids & have to say yours are probly the best ones i have watched.you have inspired me to start self filming.started 2 years augo.im very fortunate to be able to keep hunting.keep it up myfriend.we only live once!
Traditional/instinctive is a lot of time, I can go weeks without shooting my compound and pick it up and hit X-rings, I like knowing exactly where my arrow will hit and prefer short blood trails.
Great video. I guess she went about 7 yards;) By the way what weight arrows are you shooting, and what broad heads are you shooting these days. I remember you shooting some pretty heavy arrows and broadheads on some of your videos.
When I first started recording my hunts in 2010 I was using a 1994 High Country Excalibur and Easton 2512 XX75's. I went from XX75 UltraLites to Victory HV V Force and have been shooting at or under IBO with mechanicals. I shot this deer with Mammoth arrows and a NAP Doublecross (100 gn) and right around IBO. The 2 forward blades on the Doublecross head didn't open.
@@TheFieldArcher yeah I just started saddle hunting, using a predator platform and phantom. I’m playing around with bolts spaced like 6 feet apart and climbing with a 6 step aider then planning to start rappelling down to cut the effort in half lol
Thanks Sean, he left the area at the end of October, already seeing the other bucks starting to come back that had left (not many doe in this area, sausage fest! lol), hopefully he will come back also. I haven't heard of anyone taking him and not a gun area so might still be in the game! Or he will keep me guessing and eating buck tags waiting for him! lol
