I wish there was an app, where you type in your specs, and the length of the oil pattern you are bowling on, and its spits out the specs of a hypothetical arsenal including covers, sim, asym, and layouts.
I've been trying to find a new undrilled #15 Track 503C, but there don't seem to be any available. Is the Roto Grip Nuclear Cell my best option in a currently manufactured ball?
Please do another one of these videos that cover layouts for bowlers with lower ball speed, as an example 13.5-14.5mph. My experience is that when throwing a ball in this speed range the ball motion is substantially different than one might see if you throw the ball at 17.5 mph. Thanks and keep up the good work.
By my experience: lowering ball speed and not taking your hand out (revs/rotation, which for some folks may be difficult to do) means it will be less likely to push THROUGH the flare point, it gives your cover stock more time to work on the lane surface.
I've been trying to get my dad to understand why he isn't getting the same reaction from his Blck Widow as he does his symmetrical ball. Hopefully this will help
cool video - one suggestion to your voice recording though, use a pop filter on the microphone. it will help with some of the harsh moments on the microphone and i had to play with my volume a few times throughout the video.
At the end you show the two handed bowler, but it has the thumb and the center of grip is between the fingers and the thumb. What would this look like with the center of grip between the fingers?
Question If I brought a new bowling ball and use a 45X4X35 continuous motion on any asymmetric bowling ball does it make any difference whatever coverstocks there is
Forgive me if I missed it during your presentation but do you have a link to other videos on how to determine my specs? Thanks for sharing this video and may I suggest to please release more like it. Well done.
Hi Ron, could you elaborate on the speed part of the bowler specs? What speed is referred to here? Is it off the hand speed or average speed (it is a difference of some 15% to my knowledge and varies with the pattern on the lane)? How much of a difference does the speed change make on the layout itself? Does it need to be a 3-4Mph difference, or even a 1Mph change causes the layout to be different?
So how/where do you find what layouts are good for your particular game? Example: I'm 24ish degrees of tilt, PAP is 5 3/4 over 1/2 up, 350ish revs and about 17mph off the hand.
