Hi Elle, My boys are 4 years apart. I absolutely love it! My oldest was so helpful, curious and loving with the baby. He was well grown out of the jealousy phase and soon after my LO was born the oldest went to pre-k so I had about 3 hours every day to just bond with the new born. It’s honestly the perfect situation. They are now 6 and 2 and they play endlessly together and my 2 year old just thinks my eldest hung the moon! Congrats! Sending lots of love.

I’m going for my first ever ultrasound after 2 early losses in a few hours. I’m 7 weeks, this is the longest I’ve made it. I’m taking your video as reassurance that everything is going to be okay 💕 congrats Elle! I’ve been following you forever and am so happy for you!!

My girls are 3 years and 10 months apart and they are the BEST of friends. I think Covid helped with that because they were stuck in the house together and no one else to play with, but they play with the same toys, their personalities are different but especially now at 3.5 and 7.5 they act more like 5 and 7 and the age gap is a dream. They also share a room and they love having that little partner as well.

I totally thought it was the other sex, but I'm so excited for you! Honestly you shouldn't worry too much about the age gap. I have two sisters and one is 2 years older and the other is 5 years younger and I was always closer to my younger sister growing up because our personalities were more compatible.

I completely agree, people shouldn’t expect you to keep trying until you get the other gender it’s so rude. Whatever you have is what you are meant to have and gender doesn’t really matter anyway. I have a boy and love him so much, they really are the sweetest💜

My guess is girl. I love how at the start of the video you mentioned gender identity and how it differs to sex etc and how you’re open minded about it. This baby and James are so lucky to have a supportive Momma like you 💕

Our kids will be 6 1/2 years apart. That was never my plan either to have my kids that far apart but we struggled to get pregnant for 5 years. I was sad about that but now I am enjoying talking to my almost 6 year old about the baby and seeing all the joy and excitement he is having over becoming a big brother. This was meant to be. ❤️

Congratulations! I'm in the same situation with a 3 1/2 year old son, expecting a little brother three weeks before his 4th Birthday. We tried for a long time too and a part of me is disappointed by the age gap because my sister and I were four years apart and I wish we were closer in our childhood. I'm curious to know others' experiences and just have to trust that I'm getting the exact children and situation I was meant to have!

We spaced our two kids by 3 1/2 years intentionally-I think it’s a great gap! The older child was at a point where she could be excited about being a big sister and loves to help out with her brother even though we never wanted to ask that of her specifically. I also felt like it gave me enough time to fully recover between pregnancies and feel ready. James is going to have a blast with the little one. Congrats, Elle!

My intuition said girl as soon as you told us you were pregnant. I also just tried your Chinese Gender Calendar link and it told me that I would have had a boy with my last pregnancy. My baby girl turned 1 yesterday!

Congratulations Elle!! I am in the same boat as you. I could cry watching you!! Growing up, I always thought I would have a daughter someday. Now I have two little boys 4 and 2. They are just beautiful. Everyone always asks me if we will try for a girl and I wish people would stop doing that. There will always be a part of me that is sad I won't have a daughter but I wouldn't trade my sons for anything. Your attitude is so positive and it's lovely to see. Happy for you!
