On the 25th of October a boy with autism named Sam travelled to Windsor Castle in order to visit his brother who is a Coldstream kings guards. Two soldiers chaperoned Sam around the castle and mentioned to him that he will not be able to respond to talk back to him whilst he is on duty. The ability of royal guards, also known as ceremonial guards or palace guards, to talk while on duty depends on the specific protocols and requirements of the institution or military unit they belong to. In many cases, guards participating in ceremonial duties are expected to maintain a high level of discipline and professionalism, which may include refraining from casual conversation or unnecessary communication while on duty. As we go along into the clip the soldiers then walk him to his brothers post and ask him if he wants to go take a photo and to remember he will not be able to talk. Sam walks over to his brother and stands right next to him with such a huge smile on his face, you can see just how much his brother means to him. Lastly, the boy then gets shown around the dorms of where the soldiers live and he got to then see his brother off duty where they hugged.
