I'm glad I can now link this video to explain the strionic resonator combo. I have a suggestion for a later video: a list of a budget or non-budget non stax list. Maybe a token or voltron version? I'm in the process of fine tuning my own list so that my group accepts the power level of my deck and have a fair game against it.

Gonna be building this soon! The infinite mana loop is my kinda stuff. I also like the Muldrifter combo!

If you like enchantment etb, try Skybind. You can blink your lands to have them untapped during your opponents turns. Yon can also have a lock-out combo with that card, Sundial of the Infinite and your opponents lands. But that may be too nasty for some playgroups.

I love Brago. Thanks for bringing up Traveler's Cloak, didn't know it existed. I'm surprised you didn't include Conjurer's Closet, I love reliable flickering.

Nice vid! Small suggestion: reverse your stack. I think the visualization is really nice, but put the effects one on top of the other and resolve top down, not the other way around. That way it's more of a stack and less of a list and easier for viewers who are newer to MTG to understand. Can't wait until the next one!

No mention of Conjurer's Closet? I'm sad! I love blinking and run a Roon deck myself, but Brago's also on my watchlist. And this was another great Commander Tech - thank you!

The blink type deck is my favorite archtype as it was one of my first. I started with the Derevi precon and it slowly developed into a Roon deck. I unfortunately took it apart for parts a few years ago, but after watching this, i want to rebuild it as a Brago degenerate deck. Hope I still have some friends after I play Brago Stax a couple of times.

You mentioned Altar of the Brood, but I figured I'd mention that the strionic resonator combo with that on the field will mill out your opponents. Also, basalt monolith or even peregrine drake work as stand-ins for sol ring/guilded lotus. Other cards that work well with the combo: Jace's Mindseeker, Venser, Shaper Savant, Blade Splicer. Altar is the best option imo, as you can go: T1: Plains, sol ring, altar. T2: Island, Brago. T3: Strionic, attack, mill everyone out.

ALSO. good thing to note for Brago enchantments of you plan on using darksteel mutation or pacifism type auras when you flicker them they get around hexproof / shroud. So a flickered reality acid can hit a hexproof creature

One thing you forgot to mention is stonehorn dignitary s effect stacks. If you blink him 2 times your oppents skip their next 2 attack phases. So keep blinking the stone horn and your oppents will always not be able to attack untill they remove it and let the number of combat phases go to zero.

I believe Brago is one of the strongest if not the strongest card draw commander. There is so much you can do with this commander unlike other commanders. Many different ways to win. If you want to keep your friends when playing Brago just build mainly a card draw deck.

Because of the difference in the wording of the two abilities of Oblivion Ring style enchantments vs the one ability of the Grasp of Fate style enchantments; while you can pull the trick you are talking about with Oblivion Ring style wording, you can't actually force the decision on an opponent to keep their commander under the enchantment or put it in the command zone permanently and lose the chance to get it back. This is because of how replacement effects and zone changing work with regards to the single effect. Choosing to put your commander into the command zone is a replacement effect and thus changes the effective wording on the spell/permanent that its replacement effect changes. Because the exile effect on Oblivion Ring style wording is two separate effects, only the EtB effect is changed by the replacement effect, but not the LtB trigger's wording. In the case of the Grasp of Fate wording however, it is one effect and one blurb of text, which is them altered by the replacement effect of the commander being put into the command zone instead of another zone; meaning that when it leaves place, Grasp of Fate checks if the commander it put into the command zone is still there and if it is, returns it. There was a very good post about this in the EDH subreddit actually.

This is a great video about a super solid commander deck. I was disappointed that you didn't take a second to explain how blinking cards like Oblivion Ring and Detention Sphere leave their original targets permanently exiled.

You didn't mention Brago's secret about targeting shroud/hexproof targets. I would love to see that visually explained, and it makes Brago ridiculously powerful.

The most successful non-stax version I have seen used a ton of etbs that made tokens. Eventually the guy was just making 10+ tokens a turn so even if you wiped the board next turn there is a whole bunch of them again... I would even say it is probably more effective than stax simply because people will still play with you afterwords :P

That combo works well with cards that have X costs, like stroke of genius

Hey Jumbo!! Feel like you should have mentioned the infinite total board exile combo with o-ring and strionic resonator! Brago trigger goes on targetting o-ring, strionic resonator, and sol ring (or anything else applicable that produces 2 mana). Copy the trigger with sol-rin and strionic and choose the same targets with the copy. Everything blinks and the o-ring has an ETB to exile target permanent. Before it resolves use the new strionic and sol-ring to copy the original brago trigger AGAIN. O-ring leaves and tries to return nothing to play, but it's exile trigger is still on the stack. Rinse and repeat the cycle until copies of O-ring have targetted everything on the board, then allow all their triggers to finish resolving putting every other permanent into exile!

Wouldn't that Strionic Resonator loop not work because once something has been flickered once the targets from all the other flicker triggers lose their targets?

What about using Elite Arcanist with Teferi's protection? It could be the best possible multi -turn evasion, especially in this deck.

Quick question about your non-budget build on tappedout. What are your main targets for rings of brighthearth? There doesn't seem to be that many activated abilities in the deck that I would want to copy. Thanks.

How does brago do with static and winter orb? Are you supposed to play them later after you have some mana rocks out as you don't have a way to reliably tap them?

Wow that's annoying if I knew that first combo my Bargo deck would be undefeated. I run a good amount of token makers so I can end the game pretty fast. Also Animar ? Lol may morph Animar?

I'd argue instead of deluvian primordial and altar of the brood using Jace's Mindseeker for mill and cast I've milled a player 40 cards and cast 8 instant/ sorceries in 1 turn without an infinite engine

I had my first win (1-0). I think it was by chance. Against Vampire Commander 2017 and Elf deck. My opponents could hardly draw and cast lands. I mulligan and got 4 lands out of 6, stock with it and paid off. The Vampire player got at most 7 lands but no Vampire creatures to cast except non-permanents. Elf deck got only 3 lands, so I was merciful and take him out of his misery by attacking him and be done with him. Tonight I'll try again this time I'm sure would be against Vampires, Cephalid and Superfriends. Let's see how it holds it's weight.

Can someone help explain how Brago works with reality acid as it says you control not own so you couldn’t flicker it with Brago right? @Jumbo Commander

5:47 The only "legendary" planeswalker card you can tutor for is the new Jace and Vraska from Ixalan. Other planeswalkers do not have the "legendary" type so therefore they can't be tutored.
