Keep Your Brain Alive Book: www.amazon.com/dp/0761110526/
If you want to keep your brain strong and young these are some brain exercises that I learned from the book Keep Your Brain Alive.
Nuerobics means using your brain in new and different ways involving all of your senses. This will wake up your brain. Here are neurobic brain exercises.
Here are a few of them:
1. Search for coins in your pocket and use your sense of touch trying to figure out what the coin is
2. Close your eyes and walk around your house trying to remember where the furniture is. You are testing your memory and making your memory work in a way it isn't used to working
3. Invent conversations when watching the tv and the volume is on mute. This is a great brain exercises
4. Do things that get you out of your normal thinking patterns. If you normally read magazines about motorcycles then read a magazine about gardening. Get out of your normal thinking patters.
5. A brain exercise for me is to watch political commentators that I don't think they way they do. This is a brain exercise
6. Take a new way home. This wakes up your brain
7. Write with your non dominant hand as a brain exercise
8. Close your eyes and try to identify spices by their smell. You are engaging your sense of smell in a new way
I think this is a great book full of brain exercises. This is not my book nor do I get anything if you buy it but I really enjoyed the book on nuerobics and brain exercises and I think you should check it out

Do these things help with people that have had a head injury like in a car accident or sports causing memory problems? I went from a very good memory to most days I can't tell you what happened yesterday or last week but I can remember things from 30 years ago much better before the accident pretty good. I was told "damage to the cerebellum".

The idea of improving your memory by using your sense of smell has come a long way. I like your exercise of using spices. I teach a game to parents of small children where the kids have to identify foods and smells with their eyes closed.

These days there are fun and stimulating puzzles and brain training apps that can work wonders, so if you have space on your device, achieving a quick brain is not half as hard as it used to be! Regularly vocalizing thought strands around an area of your expertise-even if you're just talking to yourself-is another very effective way to get that gray matter working. And list the tips on this video and add to them for an evolving Brain Gym Target List! 😀

@@lodalehsun6294 I’m 21, life choices, etc have landed me in a position where it’s hard to comprehend, understand, or even to just retain simple knowledge. The thing is, we have two choices. Accept that we’re screwed and there’s no hope, or we can take action right now and atleast TRY to do anything other than give up. It’s not too late to try.

Exercises mentioned in the video:- 1. Put a coin in your pocket or ask someone else to do it for you and figure out by touching which coin it is(nickel, dime, penny, etc.). 2.walk around your house while keeping your eyes closed and touch, feel the things around your house. 3. Watch the television but put it on mute, invent a conversation with your friend assuming that the characters are talking. 4.read about something you do not normally read. 5.watch news channel that have a different political bias/thinking than yours to stimulate creativity. 6.take a different/new route while going to a place where you have been before. 7.close your eyes and smell different spices filled in different containers and recognise which spice it is. 8.write with your non-dominant hand.

I think that it's interesting that something as simple as messing with coins in your pocket can help stimulate your brain. My favourite out of these is the new route home. I usually take the same route every day and it gets kind of boring, but I don't really think about it.

I was already thinking of writing with my non dominant hand last week.. when I tried to come up with ways to help my brain as I’m learning 3 new skills since a month.. And am not happy with my attention span and how much time it takes before something sticks.. So I thought to write with my left and right simultaneously: mirroring: so start the sentence on the left with the ending of the last letter and start the right with the beginning of the first.. I tried it a few minutes ago and am looking forward to become better at it 😅 I also walked to my kitchen with my eyes closed and started sniffing the herbs in my drawer.. But I guess some need to be replaced because I just smelled dust a few times 🤷‍♀️. Then I stopped and went back towards the livingroom and all of the sudden noticed I was hitting the light-switch and opening the door with my left 🤗 “hey!?” My memory is really not what I feel it should be or could be. I regularly grab one coffee filter to grab the next 3 seconds later and find out I had already grabbed one 😅 No, seriously, I’m 43 y/o and am kinda worried it’s starting this early. Thanks for the suggestions! I subscribed 🙇‍♀️🌸

Hello, Ron! I bought your 7$ videos and i love the content. It is very explicit and the exercise with the list of 45 words is awsome. i did 43 in my first try and that was a mounth ago. i think i can still recall them. I've allready used the memory palace methode for an exam in veterinary faculty and it's awsome. It is realy good to organise the stuff that you learn so you canremember it better. I told my friends about this tehnique and about you and they seem interested. Thank you for the help! I will come back with a better review after all my other exams (in july). Also, do you have a tip for learning drawings for anatomy?
