When Michael, a lonely teenager (Edward Furlong, Terminator 2: Judgment Day), orders the latest interactive video game, the new high-tech wizardry penetrates his subconscious, where his darkest impulses lead him through a deadly maze of murder, deception and desire. I was in middle school when I first watched this movie. I always couldn't help but envy Michael's bedroom. He was a kid, and he had that whole loft all to himself. It was almost like an apartment within a house. Also, he had a computer (having your own computer in the mid-nineties was something to be proud of, especially if you were kid) and that voice-activated phone with the digital assistant. I used to wish I could have all of that.

I watched Brainscan at our local drive-in as a kid and immediately fell in love with the film. I was shocked the Trickster didnt become our new horror icon. In a world where we have at least 6 shitty Hellraiser and Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequels, we never got a Brainscan 2..

I just seen it yesterday. I was born in 92. Trying to figure out why I've never heard of it til now. I'm a film buff too. The film was way too ahead of its time. Trickster is like a more zany version of Freddy. I can't see anyone but T Ryder Smith playing him. Maybe a dark alternate ending with a crazier twist

Have you been watching Aamon Animations ? He has some with that preacher in them. He did one on Donald Trump and it seems to be a reverse entrance as The Trickster does here (body then head). If I was judging Edward furlong just by his appearance I would say that he was perfect. But sadly, after watching his interviews I feel that he would have been a very scary person to date. That's one reason we should be thankful that we are not famous and we really need to pray for these celebrities and ask Jesus to come into their lives and change them before it's too late!!
