The only thing i have is a brand safety and if they care if you have problems with their stuff. I buy Shibuya sights because I know they wont just fail on me. I also like when I can ask a question and I am not left without a response. So I like Truball and Bowfinger because they do respond and are genuinely helpful. They never gave me a reason to look into other options and I respect that a lot. On the other hand I feel no sympathy for Mathews because I have had few minor issues and never once did they respond, they've just left me in the dark to figure out problems on my own. I am also not buying the most expensive arrows like x10 because there is no reason for an amateur archer to overpay for those. And when you are not an amateur you're probably being given them from your local federation or sponsors. Until that happens you're good with your Skylons and Pandaruses, those are good enough to get you there. And in the end it's not the gear but how you use it to perform, you cannot just buy a good score. A decent archer will shoot well with whatever.

Hi Sandra. Getting good customer service is a big thing. I have found some of the smaller companies are better than the big boys. Arrows wise, so many are now produced overseas or from a single company, and I agree that the Skylon or Pandarus are great arrows. And I agree with you, it's the archer that makes the difference not the equipment.

· I do truly believe 100% that many `club-archers´ ARE in fact hopelessly brand loyal at their many clubs, ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

So do I. I may have been like that when I started as well, but now, I think I have become more budget conscious and always look at reviews as well. Guess that's why my kitchen has different brands for everything 🙃

The extreme BUDGET END of SF (the then budget line of W&W) is the [then] Axiom+ Limbs. I could comfortably shoot 70m with 25# On The Fingers, with 260 grain arrows. All I needed to do was pull the sight extension back to [about] 6 inches out the front (from its full 9 inches out the front). At 60m, I could maintain the sight's full 9 inches of extension, without any compromise at all. Once, I even scored SIX GOLD @ 60m using these 260 grain Medallion XR ·187" / 4·75mm arrows, with #25 On The Fingers. So the very low-end stuff can work for outdoor shooting, tooo.

The equipment nowadays is very good. Lots of budget excellent gear. However you will always have those who see what the top shooters use and think they can gain extra points by getting it.

My Non Brand Loyalty Stuff:😊 LH 70" Riser @ 37pound Sanlida Miracle (X10) Riser (X) Core Ignite @ 30pound Limbs* Flex Supra FF 18 Strands String Sanlida X10 Arrowrest Decut Janus Button Beiter Clicker AVALON Tec X Olympic Recurve Sight Sanlida X10 Extender / V-Bar Sanlida Team 700 Long Rod CARTEL Infitec Nexus Edge 3 Side Rods Arrows: 500 Spine 33,5" Arrow (Nockbottom-Tip) Skylon Performa 3,2mm Shaft 100Gr Skylon Point Beiter Pin Nock AAE 2,3" Fletch I don't take part in any competitions, I just have to beat myself, so the equipment isn't that important. I don't believe that my enjoyment of shooting can be greatly enhanced by using high-quality equipment. If I were to take part in a local tournament, I would probably just swap my fletches to spinwings. * The Limbs are really very affordable. I was planning to swap them for Vivic's Vellator. But since August, my upper arm has had "Kang-Chae Yeong's" autograph on it, so of course I can't swap it. 😎

You have to immortalize your arm now🤣. What do you think of the Sanlida long rod. I am looking for some stabs and want to look at the budget stuff. Also how do your 500 spine arrows tune. I shoot 40lb and have 600 spine arrows that are just ok.

@@brookvalleylife724 Signed limbs: Some people have already said, that limb needs to go on the shelf. But it motivates me more during use. 😎 Stabi: I really like the long rod. Both, the Team 700 (which is the X10) and the Team 700ES (extra stiff) will be lighter than your Beiter. I can't say whether they dampen better, probably not. But they are really great for the price. Arrows: They're crazy long! Without the 28mm tip, the arrow would be too short. I'm quite tall and have arms like an orangutan. With an draw lenght (nockbottom -> button +1.75") of 33.5", I am always in the overdrawing range. The 500s group better than the 550s and 600s, which is why I use them. 😊

I was shooting [cheap] SF Axiom+ limbs on a [cheap] Galaxy Crescent Riser (made of cast Magnesium alloy). No Brand allegiances here. 😜 I later bought Kinetic brand Riser, and chose Kinetic brand limbs to match. I guess this is somewhat `brand loyalty´; yes if I bought newer limbs, I would probably buy the same Kinetic brand, just to keep Riser & Limbs looking `matched´. 😜 My front Long-Rod and my back Side-Rods are [kinda] matching: having the same colour scheme AND from the same company. However, the models within said brand are not the same. Long Rod is Wind Dragon Pro-X ( ·5"). Side Rods are Falcon Featherlight ( ·675").

I heard something the other day from a golfer that I can put into the archery world. "The Target doesn't care what you paid for the arrows that hit it or the bow that shoots it." I like that a lot. I hope I can put that into practice at some of the competitions I go to.

· For me, no I am not brand loyal. I am a mix-'n'-match kinda guy, AND complementary colour matching is more important to me than what brand I get😊

Hi Andy, would you consider selling your Uukha limbs at all?

Not at the moment Mike. I'm using them for training and seem to be shooting pretty good with them. Sorry.

all good mate! Thought if you weren't using them you might want to sell. I'm looking for some long 40lb limbs at the moment. Considering the Nika N3's. @@brookvalleylife724
