Hey love the channel. Just wondering why you are running the bottom limb tiller more than the top? Is a positive tiller not a greater distance on the top limb and shorter distance at the bottom.
If it's shorter at the top the the bow will have more draw weight at the top. This allows the bow to want to "pull up" which should help if you drop your arm. I could be wrong but that's what I thought positive tiller is.
Big news is always exciting when it's a new piece of gear revealed. 😮 There was some big news I heard through an archer named Jeff Phillips about Sanlida Archery which is Chinese. Jake Kaminski I did see had a reaction about some issue but I haven't watched a Kaminski video in some time. Just remember, B & C after Andrew & definitely both b4 Y😅.
I saw the Jake Kaminski video. Sanlida were a bit naughty on their media side. I guess if you are a big name like Jake then money is involved and things get messy. Just because he did a review wouldn't get me to buy one , but I guess many people would. Sanlida shouldn't have used it and taken it down when Jake refused the money offered to him for his picture. However I'm not sure on the "rights" if the picture is on youtube and in public domain???
@@brookvalleylife724 Yep, it's a little sleezy on their part & Kaminski described that part well. Jeff Phillips had Sanlida doing the same thing to him also & he agreed with Kaminski. But @ the same time he's a very spiritual guy & @ the end of the day he's continuing his relationship with Sanlida. But he's still doing instinctive trad bow videos & he's not partial to anyone. He also has a partnership with a business called 3 Rivers & they r adjusting their business in the trad world with all the great value gear on a much more friendly attitude than that of Lancaster. That company is putting Hoyt risers that look very much like the Nika ET-12 riser & they r still trying to sell such items for $700 & that's a clearance price. 😒
@@josephtreadlightly5686 I have heard of 3 Rivers archery. Pretty good from what i heard. Must admit I do believe that the "Big Brands" are selling their gear at an inflated price. Yes a lot of R&D goes in but with computers nowadays, and AI things are cheaper and easier. If they passed this onto the archers they would sell more gear in the long run and make more money. Archers like shiny new things.... 😁 and that's every archer from the "Dark Side" compounders (Yes I do have one) to recurvers and trad and even longbow shooters.
@@brookvalleylife724 Yes they would, I agree. If 5% rather than 1% of the 🌎 population is shooting archery then they could afford it due to what's happening in Archery. That's the reason. 🌎 wide ⚽️ is so popular. Hockey & Ameeican Football gear price runs them into the ⚽️ field. I remember a video Steven Hann made a few months ago. He had a huge European maker recurve riser & the box. Then he found a Hoyt & the box it came in was identical. That doesn't mean that one had more & the other brand had less quality control. If someone wants to spend $1000 on a Hoyt 25" riser they r going to do it. But it doesn't help out the average archer who's trying to get better by shooting more & having gear he trusts. I'm shooting the C1 limbs that r 40# @ 25. B.H. 7 3/4" Top tiller 6 15/16" Bottom 7 1/4". 1.5 Turns from bolts all the way in. C1's are just more finicky than the N3's. Plan to shoot 100 tomorrow & fletch shafts that fly great when they are bare. Toodles.
@@brookvalleylife724 I purchased One of Those half-inch diameter wind-cutting Long Rods. It WAS 28inch, but I cut it down to 26inch myself. I wanted 26" due to buying a 7inch long long Extender [model S3 by FiberBow].
· They say, "on the balance of probabilities, more strands = more stable / fewer stands = more speed." There is logic behind that statement, but real world tests FREQUENTLY SUGGEST a lack of a CLEAR distinction, within a range of 22 strands down to 16 strands, of 8125 (with respect to Recurve archery). 😱
· When I `finally´ get around to buying a Bowstring making Jig, I intend to start @ 14 Strands of ASTROFLIGHT [by Brownell]. However, 14 strands of Astroflight may be tooo skinny for my Nock fit. ( I use L-groove sized arrow Nocks ) Only way to find out, is to start building Bowstrings for myself. FWIW, I have BCY Powergrip, in the [so-called] 0·021inch diameter, on standby. NOTE: professional string-making companies ALL AGREE that Powergrip ·021" is deffo fatter; with a tighter arrow nock fit, than HALO ·021" or than 62XS ·021". I cannot yet say so, but I predict that it'll still be thinner than HALO @ ·024inch.
Yes, that is what I have found. I have made 16, 18, 20 and 22 strand strings. All shot virtually the same. Only real difference was nock size and fit. I now shoot 18 strand 8125 with 0.014" serving for a large groove fit.
