I had to replace the original RHD Bosch units on my 280E when importing the car into DE. New LHD units by AL (current MB supplier.....dealership just adds a MB star to the sticker for a huge price increase) were easily sourced for aprox €275 for the pair. Nightbreaker Laser bulbs added & they're better than the Xenons I had in my Cooper S.....which failed completely at 5yrs. The fitment & glass itself is equivalent quality to the original units so all good, but like everything these days the overall quality just isn't the same. Still, not complaining I live in an environment where it's easy to run a W124 as a DD, parts are plentiful & cheap, workshops when needed can navigate these cars in their sleep. For Xenon headlights only the right side are available in Europe for the pre-facelift lefthand drive as of feb 2023. The same goes for the lenses only right side available. As for the rest of the parts of the headlight nothing is available only ballast and the bulbs obviously. Seems like halogen, both headlight and lenses both sides, are still available for lefthand drive as you said.
the state of w210 parts availability is demoralising. I found today you cant even fix the central locking actuator leaks in the doors with new parts. Everything is discontinued and none left anywhere. People are gluing and zip tying the crappy plastic parts back together etc. yikes.
@sourcey6620 I threw my headlights in the trash and bought an led set for 250. There are just bulb conversion kits for 35. I don't remember the type of bulb but it was special.
