If you're not a QB, do everything in your power to get the bag as soon as you're eligible. Protect yourself because the franchise will not, specially when they're favorites to win it all and have to pay the QB soon.
@kimchi2780 If you a good player they want let you go that for. Remember he's still on his rookie contract he has to get paid. What if he gets hurt before his big pay day. These organizations or making billions of dollars. Players need to get paid forget with you talking about.
@@danielresendez229 That's a fair point. Although Adams wasn't bitching about the QB as much as the terrible situation Josh McDaniels had created in Vegas. Green Bay had just paid Rodgers, at the time becoming the highest per year average paid QB in the league. Totally different situation, but I get what you're saying.
And after Aiyuk runs with the Steelers, he will prob make the winning catch against the 49ers in the SB next year. How's that for a climatic ending?! 😮
The Steelers are NOT giving up a 1st. Wilson and Fields do not have deals beyond this year. The Steelers are keeping that 1st in case they have to draft a QB.
The Watson situation can't be compared to any other. The Browns pursued Watson, were told no initially, then went back to Baker and tried to get him, and he told them no. The Browns then made Watson an offer he could not refuse.
With New England off the table, the Browns offer now is the only legitimate offer. I see the Steelers as a long shot because of the compensation that San Francisco would want for Brandon Aiyuk.
@@nahor88 Steelers are not going pay him 35 million. Sorry, but it's not going happen, he gave away all his leverage now the Steeler can squeeze him and say take it or leave it.
“The patriots have decided not to….” No , Aiyuk said he not going to New England. Media trying to give the illusion that Aiyuk doesn’t have the leverage. Where all the nerds that said Aiyuk ain’t going anywhere?
Is it possible to write him a contract that he’s happy with that has a signing window time of “end of season to 1 month past end of season” so even if he gets hurt, he can still sign that contract and get the bag. 49ers take a risk too.
Yeah scary to watch cuz of how bad it will be 😂 you think a QB whose worst traits are timing and anticipation is gonna be good with a receiver who's best skill is route running?
If legacy means something then he is wanting to go to the best organization in football, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Giving up more money to play for tomlin and Steelers than go to Cleveland or a new coach in New England. Just shows the Steelers are still one of the prime organizations
Every team will regret spending 30+mil on 1 wide reciever... makes no sense. No matter how good they are... These guys are the most dependent position in football. You need competent qb play. Good enough O-line for that to matter. Good gameplan. Defensive breakdowns... See teams all over the league with recievers catching 10+ passes, 100+ yards 1 + TDs and the team loses. Mahomes just won 2 superbowls back to back with no recievers of note.... Build the o-line, build a good defense, get lucky in having a good QB... thats top priority that means theres atleast 16 positions more important on a team. 12+% of the salary cap on wide outs is craziness...
@@carlgilmore-murry5789 don't disagree... u think they are better if they pay Aiyuk 30+mil and lose defensive guys or can't upgrade O-line? Etc... Purdy won't be basically free forever regardless of how good he really is...
I am tired of Brandon’s antics. You ain’t getting paid 29-30 mil on the 49ers. Take your 26 or be prepared to go to a team that will meet the 49ers asking price.
Again, I would trade him. I would've traded him before the draft, could've gotten a 1st for him. But ask him where he would wanna go, & will see if an agreed trade can be made. He wants to rejoin Daniels? Ok, Washington, I want TE Sinnott, WR McLaurin, & 2025 2nd round pick.
To me, he’s not going to get what he wants due to the fact Brock Purdy has not established his self as that steady qb who can constantly, consistently put up good numbers. At this time, he’s seen as a good wr playing with a good qb, that’s it.
Let me get this straight Pittsburgh can win the Super Bowl, but the Chicago Bears with three Brandon Ayuk’s can’t please someone make this make sense!🤷🏻🧸⬇️
😂They aren’t winning the division…the ravens played backup the last game against the Steelers. If the receivers didn’t drop passes the ravens would’ve blown them out easily. To say a one receiver beats a powerhouse of the Bengals, Ravens, and Browns is comedy. They just be talking, Kimberly should’ve shut up when Cam put her in her place. They don’t even how Russ will play let alone Fields. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you watched football in the 70,s through 00,s you know those WRs had to be survivors with Safeties,DB,s and linebackers able to tee off on WRs at the point of catch,Safeties have been eliminated as enforcers as they aren't allowed to play their position as traditionally played, good safeties collect dust in FA because they went from bishops to pawns,so WRs across the board are upgraded, why overpay WRs because a few teams want to overcompensate?Ronnie Lott,Steve Atwater, the all time greats couldn't exist in the modern NFL with the exception of an Ed Reed style ball hawk,,that means fines, lower salaries,no notoriety for hard hitting safeties,no sponsorship deals, yes these are real athletes and yes they get hurt but in no way do WRs and QBs face the same barrage,L.T would be blackballed out of the league if he tried that infamous QB I.R streak again
This is an interesting take cuz with ayiuk the niners dont have a top 5 receiver group and yet purdy thrived but yet without ayiuk the niners still have one of the deepest receiver groups so either way purdy is fine
If I'm the 49ers, trade the guy ASAP. Holding off on a trade because you're trying to make sure you get better in trading a guy you desperately want away from your organization will get ugly quick and derail your season. Youre not going to pay whoever comes big money anyway...Or else why trade him?!?
John Lynch doesn't believe Aiyuk is worthy of a #1 WR type deal . . . BUT, he believes Pittsburgh should pony up the assets plus picks worthy of a top 5 WR. You can't have it both ways Lynch. You played yourself with your way too public dispute brotha!?
@6:12 First round AND Roman? You're on crack. They're going to give up Dan Moore, a second round pick and probably a third as well. We're not trading our talent.
That’s exactly what he’s asking for…on the pivot podcast he said hes not looking for top dollar, he just wants to get paid where hes slotted amongst WR, in my opinion thats between Waddle and St. Brown.
😂😂😂 1st & their rookie 3rd rounder for the 49ers FOURTH offensive option?? And THAT is why Tannenbaum is no longer associated with an NFL team. Full blown window licker if you think that is good. Get him off TV, the guy has completely lost it.
Unkess something big has changed in that front office, this will never happen. They dont pay their players like that. You think they'll pay a wide receiver they had to trade for the money this joker is asking for?
Sorry Brandon, your not a number 1 receiver, you have 3 other guys ahead of you in the passing order. He's just reaping the benefits of having to worry about McCaffrey, Kittles, and Debo. He's good, just not 30 mill a year good. But if he can get it, I do t blame him. Got get paid
This is why Mike Tannenbaum is not a Gm right now smh horrible take. Aiyuk is not worth 35mil a year and you do not trade a 1st round pick and a young wr for him either. Why would steelers give up a 1st round when with or without aiyuk that will be a top 15 pick. They are not winning that division.
The 49ers win either way. They get what they want in picks and players, or Aiyuk realizes no ones paying him $30 million a season, and he resigns with SF for the price they offered.
There are teams literally willing to pay him that $30M.. problem is the 49ers are reaching asking for trade compensation that severely outweighs the pay value.. how don’t you wanna pay him but you value him enough to ask for a outlandish trade package ?? All of this just to not win a SB 😭😭
@carlgilmore-murry5789 No one has offered $30 but the Patriots. Everyone is at $26-$28. They aren't giving him away for nothing. There needs to he a player and pick or multiple picks or he can remain where he is at the $14 million and then 2 franchise tags. The 49ers are done with his BS
A 1st, Roman Wilson, AND $35 mil/yr, Tannenbaum is a terrible GM. I'll put my faith with the Khan Artist. My guess, the Steelers offer is a 2nd, 3rd, and a player like Calvin Austin or Van Jefferson, and a $30 mil/yr contract.
