He has a completely different playstyle to Maguire. So I’m assuming you don’t mean in terms of their ability and output. So I’m assuming you’re talking about price and being a flop. I think he’s more likely to succeed. Also man Utd just can’t get prem players for 30m. it’s just near impossible for us. Also he is a better player than a 30m player, I think 40m is a fair price for him. So 45-50 with add ons would make sense once you take in to account English, manutd and prem tax.

There are reports that Chiesa could be put up for sale by Juventus and if Juve want Greenwood, maybe we should do some kind of swap deal for federico Chiesa. Bremer would be good though. A Swap for Greenwood to Atletico Madrid for Joao Felix was a good deal that I wish had more traction as I think Ten Hag would use him all across the foward line but especially as a false 9 (How he played Dusan Tadic at Ajax or Bruno against City)

Is this boy good enough? Time alone will tell. But at least he ought to be match fit more often than Martinez, Maguire and Varane were last season. In the coming season he might even match their aggregate league starts last season, or not be too far off it. Would be an important player by simply remaining fit and helping build consistency and understanding at the back.

The problem being that Everton got £50m for Stones years ago, we paid the same for Wan Bissaka, and obviously we screwed the whole market when we paid £80m for Maguire. They are within their rights to ask for £70+ for Branthwaite. But we should walk away and buy a player outside of the Prem

I like Pascal Struijk from Leeds Utd. He's mainly a Left Centre back but Struijk can also be deployed as a Left back or defensive midfielder. He would probably not cost much and last time he was in the premier league with leeds under Jesse marsch he was so underrated. Also Amrabat should be signed i liked his get stuck in attitude apparently he'll be somewhere around the 20m mark which is an ok price i think.

If the manager wants Branthwaite, I trust his judgement. As for what he’ll cost - Everton might want £70 or 80m but there’s only 2 weeks left until the PSR deadline, so we’ll see if they blink or get desperate on June 30th and we give them £40m. I actually feel bad for them having to sell their better players on a deadline for possibly less than they’re worth to avoid PSR. How is it “sustainable” to sell their assets for less? Anyway, if we can get him for less, cool, but PSR is bollocks.

Sancho £73m, Wan-Bissaka £50m, Harry Maguire £80m, Anthony £83m, Mason Mount £60m. £350 million, not one a first team regular. If the figure of £80m is true, I can't help thinking this would be a huge overspend on another hyped up English player with 1 cap, 45 Premier League appearances and not rated by Southgate enough to make the final 26 when we are crying out for centre halves. £25-30m max, if not, walk away.

I’ll admit I only watched 4 full Everton games last season, but every one I watched Branthwaite was either barely there or actively bad. He’s one of those player that everyone hypes but every time I watch him I think “wtf are these people on about”. I watched against Bosnia & Herzegovina for England as well and he admittedly wasn’t bad but he also wasn’t amazing against crap opposition. I just can’t understand the price tag.

Should have gone for someone like Hiroki Ito instead of branthwaite, but as usual they are blinded by English players and are going to pay over the odds. This is the kind of connection that a basic pundit or media outlet might think up, an OK player at a mediocre club. Branthwaites a decent player in a poor everton team. The price is a bit too inflated though but i can understand why Everton has tried to valued him so high as they need money fast. Right centre back options we should be looking at are either Matthijs De Ligt, Leny Yoro, Kim Min Jae, Jean clair Todibo, Antonio Silva from Benfica, Marc Guehi, Diomande from Sporting, Fikayo Tomori from AC Milan. Left centre backs options we should be looking at are either Micky Van De Ven from Spurs as i think Ten Hag will get him playing way better than Postecoglu, Alessandro Bastoni, Goncalo Inacio from sporting, Branthwaite if we can get him lower and on slightly lower wages and a mad one maybe in Ake from Man city as pep has said in the past he will sell if need be, but saying that... why would Ake ever move to a team with no champions league next season. We should try to swap greenwood to Juve for Federico Chiesa as its been said that Chiesa may be for sale and Juventus reportedly want greenwood. Also sell Goalkeeper Bayindir and get in Verbruggen from Brighton.
