Brassói aprópecsenye using chicken breast. A Hungarian delicacy.
If you want to treat your family to a very quick and delicious meal, which they will remember for a long time, this one is for you.
If you prefer, other cuts of meat can be used for this dish, such as turkey breast, smaller size deboned chicken leg, pork tenderloin, or pork chop, using the same cooking method.
In the absence of vegetable or meat stock, add water and reduce it to the desired consistency.
Ingredients:
800 grams (~1.7 lb) boneless, cubed chicken breast
150 g (~5 oz) smoked bacon
2 onions approx 120 g (~4 oz)
5 garlic cloves
50 g (~2oz) of tomato puree
200 ml (~6.5oz) meat or vegetable stock or water
1 small bunch of parsley
2 tsp salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tsp of marjoram
1 kg (2.2 lb) peeled and cubed potatoes
5-6 tbsp oil for frying the potatoes
