So, in the Bratz universe, Simon Cowell presumably does not exist and is replaced by Byron Powell. However, in another episode of Bratz in which Berdine is sitting in a restaurant booth with a man, he proclaims "Hey, is that Donald Trump?" So in the Bratz universe, Simon Cowell as we know him does not exist, but Donald Trump does. Much to think about.

long hair was very difficult to simulate back then; not to mention they had the budget for a direct to dvd movie! Another direct to dvd cgi movie made by Disney in that era had a character get completely scrapped and replaced because their computers couldn’t simulate her long hair!

Bratz was my childhood, I knew I had it bad when I was playing the sims and I named my sim’s kids chloe Yasmin and jade thinking the names sounded good together, not even thinking hello like that’s the bratz😂

I am SO SHOCKED that Burdine isn't the tweevils mom!! I was not a bratz kid (my sisters were and I played with them), so I know nothing of the Lore. All the recent memes and videos about Bratz are what introduced me to Burdine and the Tweevils and I straight up just thought they were related

fun fact!!!! the reason why it feels like the movie doesn’t start until 24 minutes in AND you get another logo is because the bratz rock angels movie is actually the first few episodes of the bratz tv series. so that 24 minutes is the first episode. and the next 24 minutes is the second episode and so on and so forth. 😊

It’s not too late to catch up! My parents were crazy strict religious types so I wasn’t allowed anything to do with Bratz because they didn’t want me to become a brat??? But I always thought they were so cool. So I watched the Bratz tv show/movies as an adult! I can’t remember where but I found them for free online, it might’ve been on youtube? The only thing I remember that wasn’t great was the typical 2000s fatphobia. Most of it felt so absurd that I wasn’t as bothered by it as usual, but it’s still good to be mindful of these things

I just want to say THANK YOU for talking about Bratz in such a positive and fun way!! I'm a huge fan of the movies/games/dolls and they bring me so much comfort, but I've always been embarrassed to admit it as a 27 year old. I only used to stumble upon people making fun of the games/movies in a negative way but, honestly they bring so much nostalgic joy to a lot of people. To this day, this movie is still one of my favourite movies. I grew up watching the Swedish dub of it. Despite that, I always assumed that the characters lived in the UK, so when they were like “Omg! We’re travelling to London!” I thought “Aren’t you already in the UK though?” To be fair, this was in like 2009 🤷‍♀️ so I was like 8 years old.

The other day I wanted to listen to so good for some reason it's still a bop I have seen almost all the Bratz movies Rock Angelz is one of my favorites in middle school my teacher had this school store where you you got points and got to get something like a small toy or candy or you could save up for a better prize so anyways one week there was the Yasmine Rock Angelz on the shelf and I was so excited I grabbed it as soon as I was able to get to take it home with me that day
