And one thing I've failed to notice amongst the comments regarding the legendary last time with the slow cooker and him being a great chef, great character with a superb yet normal and modest lifestyle, is this channel making me realize that Canada is a fucking amazing country.

Hey Forest, i’m assuming you’re gonna read this comment because I feel like you’re the type of content creator to read the comments on every video! In my opinion, this has been your best video yet. The footage from the go pro was awesome, it was really neat to see you go through that hold in the mountain are your way down. I’m constantly amazed by the content you produce and the amount of detail/effort you put into the editing. I’m sure i’m not the only person that feels this way, looking at your like/dislike ratio. I wish I could support you on patreon, but as a poor college student, I’ve got to make sure I have dinner each night. However, I will do as much as I can by liking every video that comes out. I didn't begin hiking until I moved to Colorado when I was 31. I hiked for 15 years till my pace slowed to nearly no hiking today. I have much respect for this young man. Even with my experience, I couldn't navigate or tackle the challenges he seems to enjoy.

I came for the van, enjoy the nature landscape - but honestly at this point I am staying for the slow cooker recipees. :D

After losing both my Micro Spikes in the snow recently and having to shell out $80 to replace them I now use a couple of small carabiners and I tether each one by the red rubber part to my boot laces near the front of my hiking boots. Works great and has saved them a couple of times already. When they slip off I hear them dragging instead of them silently disappearing into a deep footprint in the snow. Never did find the ones I lost...
