Love the show, brilliant especially the relays!! can I throw in a idea, countdown meets sorted. Quick 30 seconds word puzzle, whatever number letter word they come up with equals the ingredients
Gotta love Mike going I'm not having none of this responsibility stick anymore I'm just going to be independent and make a drink, no one can fault me for that!
@@wwoods66 To be brutally honest, Ben aced it. I mean yeah putting everything together in an omelette is kind of a cheat but he managed to figure out the cocktail on his own with the very vague hints (and also throwing away some, i.e. the bread arrow/trail hehe)
@@kronostime8146 To be honest I feel Jamie looses this one. Should hvae gone somewhere else ;) But all in all it do makes me wanna taste it. But Full English.. That just cracked me up! Haha
Jamie- A full English Breakfast James - A full English Breakfast in a French sandwhich. Barry - A deconstructed hipster full English Breakfast with avocado smash Mike....I need a drink. Ben ....I agree with Mike, we need a drink... and A Full English Breakfast IN an omelette! ...but mostly...a drink.
mad props for ben to get everything together, figure out the cocktail + glasses hidden in the fridge, all the while explaining to us how to make an omelet, how to fold it, giving tips.. this man.. born a genius
Order should be lowest to highest. After all, if they are so great, they should have no problem fixing any mistakes the people before them made, right?
I think with Ben, he's one of those chefs who can turn anything into a decent meal & he knows these guys so well that he goes in with the Hail Mary & pulls everything back together. He's definitely the winner in this episode, though I liked James idea - there was no possible way to communicate that.
I had a 2.98 GPA at graduation...and was a bit disappointed, but it was from UC Berkeley so I let myself off a bit easy as it's a notoriously tough school (many people describe it as an ivy league education with a junior college support network).
@@grimwill7686 honestly, I think Jaime got more flack than he deserved. Choosing the meat was very open ended. A dip sandwich would've been dope. But Evers (sp) pulled it out at the end.
I love how Ben is so passionate about cooking that even though he is doing this stressful challenge he still takes the time to explain how to cook an omelette.
@@aceofscrubs1391 He was actually thinking a Spanish tortilla! Which is more like an omelette/frittata style thing made with eggs and potatoes. You don't put meat in it usually, but on the side. He didn't even communicate that well though haha
My love for ben has no end in sight. I wish i had half the skill he does in the kitchen, not to mention how he always cleans up without fail. He missed the clues for the martini glasses and still comes through with the cocktail set no less! 🥰
1. Ben. Made a beautifully plated omelet and mixed a cocktail all in ten minutes. 2. James. Those beans looked to die for. 3. Mike. Because espresso cocktail. Play to your strengths. 4. Barry. Adding avocado was the first thing that was blatantly and obviously a twist on full English. 5. Jamie. Kudos for all the food prep, though.
@@zapdara Well.... There was nothing wrong with what Jamie was going for... Considering he is Jamie after all hahaha. Simple and to the point, maybe even too simple but then again like I said, it's Jamie after all! So whenever he pulls out something different then we know shit's real!
I agree with most, but I'm thinking Jamie should be seventh, cause the fridge chilled and wine glasses and the Bread Crust Arrow didn't get much credit.
No one going to mention how everyone arrives moaning about a full English breakfast, thinking of a better idea, not communicating it to the next person and having the cycle repeat itself? 😂
Honestly...Ben for the win. As SOON as Mike decided on a martini rather than trying to figure out wtf was going I said to myself "I hope Ben comes in and throws it all into an omelet cause thats what I'd do." AND HE DID! 🤣😂🤣 Also....IM GOOEY IN THE MIDDLE BABY LET ME BAKE!!! 🤬
Your next position order should be based on the scores you gave yourself in this round. Lowest to Highest :P noice.. i like this order, It will be chaotic to see Jamie going last, and i hope no one gives him any clues..
1st Ben for bringing it all together. 2nd James for the inspired sauce idea. Tie for Mike & Baz at 3rd, cocktail & avo topping were good contributions. Jamie...full English tortilla, really?!?
I agree with the overall ranking, but I would move Mike down to 5th or shared 4th (with Jamie). While the cocktail was a good idea that was finished by Ben, all Mike did was make Espresso and sugar syrup. Barry actually added something to the dish that fit with the final result. Jamie had the problem of going first and full-english is really not that imaginative, but everything he prepared actually made it into the final dish...
@@FlorianBrueser I can see your point about Mike having a lower spot than Barry in the lineup. I might have been biased by a personal attraction to espresso martinis! 😂
I think if after each person's turn they go into a different room to watch what's happening live and we watch them it be great Or just a 2nd video where we watch them all together watch the video back
@@alexjulius203 That sounded way too complicated for a single video, but apparently they were able to set up something like this for the latest video, so i'd be excited to see it used in Pass it On
Jamie: **dessert episode, about Barry** "I'm going to make cookies, but cookies aren't the thing." Also Jamie: "I'm going to make a Full English, but Full English isn't the thing."
The confidence that James has in Barry is hilarious. James - I'll leave this meat in between two slices or bread and hope he gets the idea to make a sandwich Barry - I'm going to experiment and try to put everything in this bowl
I think the real MVP of the pass it on series is ben. Without him , there would be no feasible dish. It doesn’t matter which order they’re in, Ben always goes in and does what would take the others 20 minutes to do. I’m half convinced they give him double the time.
Agreed. So many channels seem like they are really dragging out their content to hit the 10 min mark, but I feel like a lot of these are too heavily edited and feel rushed.
Ben is ALWAYS the best in these - he thinks fast and simple (it's 15 minutes per person - no time to get too fancy), he talks us through it (he is a born presenter), he is comparably efficient and gets a lot done (no wasting time), he tries to understand the others and is best at it. (and he knows what he's doing too...) Mike is humble and straight-forward, which I appreciate, Barry is just full of himself most of the time (the way he rates himself...), James is too up in the clouds and unrealistic and Jamie is at least predictable and getting something done (most of the time).
I love this channel, found it very recently and I love binge watching it. Especially a fan of these relay ones. I have such a bad cold so this helps keep me happy whilst I'm ill.
More Pass it one please, maybe with the theme: Baking Twist: First person gets the most time, last person gets the least time, chefs get half the time of the position the choose (so it might be good to have the first or last, depending what you want them to accomplish. Or Order Chefs first
Best to worst- 1)Ben-actually did something for ten mins 2)Mike-even if he didn't do much he did create the most creative thing 3)James-had a good idea however wasnt able to manifest it but still helped 4)Jamie-boring idea but atleast did something 5)Barry-he just slapped some avocado for ten minutes
I think I'd put Barry in 4th 'cos Jamie gave them such a narrow idea that no one else could figure out how to actually make something good out of it. At least Barry tried to make it interesting.
Chaos order: start with Jamie, then Barry. Tell the boys it's going to then be James, Mike and Ben but instead cut out the chefs and replace them with Jamie and Barry so it ends up Jamie, Barry, Mike, Barry, Jamie
grouch314 I was thinking the same thing about removing James and Ben as a curve ball. Though the order I was thinking of was a bit more chaotic: Barry, Mike, Jaimie(15 minutes), Mike, Barry
In what world does Jamie have more facial hair than James?! 😂 Love these videos!! I really like hearing you talk about what each of you did in the end, bring that back!!!
I usually either just run the bottom of it under water to make it melt just enough to unstick from the tray, or leave it on the counter top for a few minutes if I'm not in a hurry. (but nowadays I'm lazy and just buy bagged ice. a few bucks for a huge bag makes not having to make ice great)
@@HumbleWooper I love the set and all, but they really could do with an actual, functioning, non-fake sink. Not having access to running water seems like such a pain.
I love you guys so much but I feel like we need an episode where the team isn’t allowed to fall back on their go tos. ie no avocado for Baz, no full English or meats for Jamie, neither of the chefs can go last or first. Recommended order starts with mike - 2 chefs and 2 normals. Instead of not knowing what to do I’d like for mike to try and set the vision for the dish. Ebbers and James often salvage the dishes at the last minute so I think this will challenge the whole team to not pass the buck to the last person hoping they save the meal. Make us all hungry guys!
Ebbers: "I basically just combined all the things into a dish so... 7.5" Also Ebbers: "I saved this dish from complete failure, redid most of it, combined with something a bit more innovative, invented a whole new way of cooking in 5 minutes so... I think a 7.5".
Anyone else miss the little head emojis of the guys where Ben says "What will we be putting in our mouths today?" And Mike says "Shut up Ben" I miss that one also for the next head to head to head battle a mystery box that the community decides what's in it!!!!!!
1. Ben - So much achieved in so little time! Mind blowing 🤯🤩 Mike: Obviously for the expresso cocktail but even more for the bread arrow (and for entertaining us too) 😂 3. James: Amazing idea but important to think as a team mate 4. Barry: For the freshness added to the English breakfast 5. James: good idea, do not shock people but come on and seriously "8.27"!!!
1. Ben for putting things tg 2. James for doing deliciousness 3. Mike for adding a new element 4. Barry for at least avocado isn't part of a full english 5-Jamie for unoriginality
1) Ben 2) Ben again because he really saved the dish 3) James 4) Mike because they drink looks amazing and he was struggling so much 5) Jamie because he put them off on a bad start with something basic And Barry off the board. Didn’t really add much. I do love avocados though, im basic that way😅😅
I love watching these with the perspective of group dynamics. Speaking of psychology subjects, they're also great reinforcement for the Dunning-Kruger effect.
ben did about 90% of the work on this one. my rating worst to best: James, Barry, Mike, Jamie, Ben also bring back the "gooey in the middle, baby let me bake" song. i loved it!
1. Ben (he saved the whole breakfast) 2. James (he saved the breakfast after Jamies classical start) 3. Jamie (he had the idea from the start) 4. Mike (cuz he did something out of context) 5. Barry (sorry, but only a guacamole?)
They all complained that it wasn't fancy enough, but I think this is the most successful pass it on so far since what was started (an english breakfast omelette idea) is what came out at the end with two twists (the guac and the cocktail). 1) Ben for walking in to a chaotic array of dishes and making sense of it all. Also for creating what was intended from the beginning (miracle of miracles). 2) Mike for adding something special to the dish. I mean espresso + cocktail = can't go wrong. 3) Barry for adding something new to the dish with the guac 4) Jamie for actually doing something sensible and of value to the dish. Wasn't creative, but it didn't totally screw everything up and still made it in the final dish. 5) James - his sandwich idea didn't go far and the only thing of his in the end dish was the bean sauce thingy. Sorry James! Still love you!
