I made the silliest squealing noise when I saw that you included the Malcolm in the Middle connection. Absolutely love being a channel member. Hal was a bad liar just like Walt
i always thought it might have been too suspicious if someone actually saw him approach a police station with a mask on, he might just wanted to check the perimeter first.
That god particle fact might be one of the most low-chance coincidences in the show so far. A 40-year long search ends 11 days before this episode airs where it is mentioned (and maybe the only time in the show that it's mentioned?) I was a bit mind blown when hearing that
Methyl groups are simply a carbon with 3 hydrogens attached to organic compounds. Methyl groups are extremely common. It has nothing to do with methamphetamine (at least in this context)
0:42 I may be wrong here, but I think when getting a new identity for whatever reason, people keep some parts of their old identity so they don’t mix things up in their story
@@betterwatchtvit's also important to remember that there aren't that many options for birthdays (366). So someone having the same birthday wouldn't arouse much suspicion.
Did you think when Walt toasts the bedroom mirror and then suddenly remembers the lab cameras is due to him suddenly remembering when he toasted Gus through the camera when he paid the three laundromat workers to clean the lab gear?
The first time watching breaking bad, I was convinced that walter in fact rearranged his bacon into a mudhroom cloud, dont know how i got there, wich would make the waitress' reaction really strange! 🥓🥓🥓☢️🥓☢️
I have an idea for what you could do for the 'say my name' shout outs. What I was thinking is if you could make an ai version of Declan and Walter and Waltuh first says, "The 6 month members, say their names." Then Declan says, "Shelly Saves the Day, Burb's, hypertane" etc, you get the idea. Also yeah if you wanna use this make sure you credit my comment or something...
Oooo, I like that! I think I will do something like that for both the 6-month members and the new members! I probably can't do a reasonable Declan voice, but I know I can do Walter! Thanks!!
I discovered your channel 2 days ago and ever since then I’m been hooked. I freaking love your content, please do all of us a favour and never stop uploading. We love you man!!❤❤
2 phones broken before season 5? I reminder that happened many times, there is more in season 5a and 5b or in bsc? (Besides the third one that Mike broke in this episode)
I've got two Germany questions for you about the beginning of the next episode, if you don't mind! 1. The defibrillator Schuler uses says "Diese maschine ist für ausgebildete verwendet mediziniche fachkreise." Is that bad grammar? 2. In the bathroom, do the light switch and the wall outlets under the sink look obviously American because they're not square? Thanks!! 🇩🇪
@@betterwatchtv Other German here, yes it is bad Grammer, it would be :,,Diese machine ist nur für verfendung ausgebildeter, medizinischen fachkreisen gestattet" Second I have no idea
It looks like a bad translation tool. On a real defibrilator it would read something like. "Dieses Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung durch medizinisches Fachpersonal bestimmt." "Use only through qualified medical personal "
Thanks so much to all of you! When I take the German sentence from the show, Google Translate it to English, and then back to German, it gives me "Dieses Gerät ist für die Verwendung durch geschultes medizinisches Fachpersonal bestimmt." Does this one sound okay? It's closer to your 3 different alternatives! 😆 The funny thing about the power outlets in the bathroom is that I feel like they're not close enough where you can tell they're not Type F, but maybe the rectangular shape of the surrounding switch plate wouldn't be seen in Germany?
5:36 I always am moved by the way Jonathan Banks says "Ohn Jessie" with disappointment but so much more love.....not that my own father hasn't shown me the proper amount of love and disappointment lol.
Yeah. At the time, I'm sure Vince had no idea those events of BCS would eventually happen. The originally had a different whole arc in mind for Howard.
Hey I’m not sure how far you are in the breaking bad podcast but isn’t one of the Mr.Lambert scenes reshot because the original footage was lost because of an accident? Or I probably just heard them wrong I’ve listened to it before but sometimes Im just zoned out
I find it funny how much reference humour that breaking bad and bcs has but most of thier humour compared to like marvel's version is that they reference older movies and shows while marvel does like the most modern and up to date
Great point! That could be an intentional Vince decision… part of his desire to make the show feel timeless and not taking place in any particular year (which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense considering all the years you see in the show)!
Ya know, a lotta the “x details you missed” things out there are passable, but you do great work! You’ve got a very keen eye, I’ve listened to a TON of Breaking Bad BTS but I only knew like a quarter of facts in this.
Definitely not at the time it was written. Could it be a reverse nod when they decided on that development in BCS? I don’t really think so, but I don’t know for sure!
a couple of things I just realised that might be worth mentioning in future episodes: 1. of all people in breaking bad, Joe and Gretchen were both relatively significant side characters in friends, not sure if there’s any others who were in it but it’s a cool connection I realised. 2. In an episode later this season Kuby tells Walt that all Badger and Skinny Pete talked about was “something called Babylon 5”, which Bryan Cranston starred in. 3. along that same line, for when you get on to better call saul, Jimmy recreates Matlocks suit and also places his ads during murder she wrote reruns, both of which Bryan Cranston also starred in. I have to assume those links are done intentionally but even if not, I’d find it entertaining that he’s been in the profession so long that they can’t even avoid referencing him because he’s been in everything 😅
Hi, I love your videos, ive been watching since when you covered the late season 2 episodes! I just wanted to say, you should talk about how in E11S5, Confessions, during the part in which marie and hank watch walters video, a physical copy of Breaking Bad is visible on their shelves.
3:36 Maybe another fact is that the scene where walt puts the lilly of the valley in the trunk exists, because a lot of people didn’t get the hint that walt actually poisoned brock (Still a lot of people don’t believe it)
Noticed around 8:25 on the computer, on the right of the Taskbar, there is an icon that's supposed to indicate that it's connected to the internet via an ethernet cord. Way to go wireless, I guess :)
this episode is also one of my favorite episodes of all time because it shows the consequences of all of the characters in season 4 and this is where walt starts becoming more and more full of pride and ego, especially in the first half of season 5!
8:26 Im pretty sure that laptop is a Dell Latitude D630 which had its Windows 7 version released 2011, so its another anachronism unless its owner installed Windows 7 manually on the older version (released 2008). At first glance, I thought its a D620 but then I saw the Windows button on the keyboard which clarifed my suspicion.
Walter going on a downward spiral reminds me of RU-vidr What's Therapy video about watching Better Call Saul before Breaking Bad. Comparing the two main characters.
@@betterwatchtv I couldn't recommend it more. It's crazy that the video amassed millions of views. I hope you two collaborate later on with Better Call Saul.
Mike seems like a pretty good guy. He enjoys crossword puzzles. He babysits and takes his granddaughter to the park. He likes puppies, balloons and stuffed animals. He's even kind to poultry. And he 's a big fan of The Dave Clark Five. On the other hand, if your name is Lydia ...
That chemical compound is actually more-than-likely just some very obscure industrial reagent. Methamphetamine's skeletal structure/name are a lot simpler. Incase you're ever on the lookout for the pubchem ID of actual meth (IUPAC name Methyl-1-phenylpropan-2-amine), it's 10836!
@@betterwatchtv Good thing Murge Productions answered that in a video 3 months ago. It's too bad that the view count is under 70 thousand instead of a hundred thousand.
Mike In half measures: "I Threatened Him, If you ever hurt her again I will such and such... And two weeks later he killed her." Mike In season 5: Threatens Walt multiple times, Walt kills him.
Im really glad i found this channel when the "Salud" video came out. The Season 5 Breakdowns about to be peak for the channel 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Also 12:07 is my hands down favorite jesse scream. Its like walt in the car after he blew up tuco's compound 😂
6:10 - breaking a flip phone like that is pretty pointless as data can still be easily taken off. Aside from being dramatic, it just renders it unusable.
It does appear that dimmer would be for AC power and not DC batteries. On the front panel it says "LINE 250 VOLT 50-60 CYCLES" which means it expects to have 250V 50/60Hz AC power at the input, not DC from a battery.
You have no IDEA how accurate you were saying that "in the Breaking Bad universe, there are no coincidences". The number 442 (or just 42 as a 2-digit number) has been special to me since my childhood, thanks to an obscure Dr Suess book my mom would read to me. I incorporate it into anything I need a number for; I have personalized NFL and NBA jerseys with the number 42, all my screen names end in either 42 or 442, my morning alarm is set for 4.42. What are the odds that this week's video had "42 details you might not know"? Or that "at 42 minutes, this is shortest episode of Breaking Bad"? But here's the kicker -- any guesses as to when in this video you happen to say my name? At exactly 11 minutes and 42 seconds.
Why would anyone take a gun into Mexico. They're everywhere there. And why would the dealer care? That dialog exchange makes no sense. And somehow, old Joe looks younger in BB than in MITM
The dealer seems to have strict rules/ethics, but I'm not sure what he was worried about exactly. (Either way, the gun would eventually be discovered.) It's very possible that they made Old Joe look older/worse in MITM, because he was playing a homeless man.
I've been waiting a long time for season 5! By the way, in the next episode, "Madrigal", when Walt is hiding the ricin cigarette behind the socket frame, he moves a shelf with two books on it. In one frame we can clearly see that the books are stacked smoothly, but in the second frame the upper book is a bit tilted. Also, what's with the name of the video? Where's the number of hidden details? You can do better, better watch tv!
Oh, I'm planning to mention that the book is called "The Bastard," but I'll check out the book placement! (I'm sure that was done to highlight the title.) The title is an experiment suggested by a member. They thought that more people would watch my videos if they didn't look like one of those low effort numbered-lists videos... We'll see!
Almost every number is used from pubmed id guess xD and no thats not meth its a benzoate-salt and meth is mainly sold as a Chloride and obviously the molecule is way to big compared to the most amphetamines including meth😅 (sry I'm a chemistry-nerd)
I should have asked in a previous video but since Gus won't be around anymore..... why did he take Jessie under his wing? One moment he's calling him a junkie who's a liability, and then the next he's having him follow him to mexico? Maybe I missed some more important details from the actual show LOL. I'm pretty much watching this series exclusively through this channel
I think Gus was under pressure and didn’t really have anyone else who could do the cook! (Although he really should have had a better pipeline of UNM students!) Thanks!!
fun fact for Amirillo s2 e3 of BCS, you left out in your returning charecters video that the pig toy actually had a name! his name is Mr. Snuggly, kailey says it when mike it walking away.
The only down side is that i wish that the Walt, Jessie, and Mike trio could have had more screen time Also Ted was wearing a bald cap? El Camino foreshadowing?
This episode is really tough to watch because they portray Ted in a sympathetic light. I don't believe Ted deserved an ounce of sympathy. Also I watched Mythbusters bust a lot of Breaking Bad plots as myths. It was entertaining to see Walt channel Gus and become an ever bigger sociopath. It is sad that nobody at the DEA apologized to Hank when Hank was right about Gus.
