The Father told Walt at the bar that you never give up on family. As a result Walt went to Jessie's house to see him.

The “cousins” are Tuco’s cousins. Hector (the bell ringer) told them who was responsible for Tuco’s death.

Jesse buying the house is my favorite moment from breaking bad. So satisfying.

"That Guy" who works for Saul Goodman planting mics and stuff is Mike Ehrmantraut (played by the awesome Jonathan Banks). He will surely become one of your favorite characters in the show. Jonathan also co-stars in the BB prequel "Better Call Saul", which you can binge watch after BB.

Walter didn't realize who Jane's dad was until after the crash. They did meet in the bar but they just chatted about kids as random strangers at the bar.

God, it was so good seeing Jesse so healthy and confident in episode 2. He looked so good.

You all are going to have to watch Better Call Saul. It goes into the backstory of the two hitmen and the Salamanca family(that includes the old guy in the nursing home). Gustavo doesn't control the hitmen, but they have worked together.

My parents grew up in Ireland. They had similar rituals of crawling or walking on your knees long distances to holy sites ....hundreds would do it at the same time... looked a lot like the beginning shot of this episode.

Funny listening to " the lawyer " and "the one guy" when talking about Saul and Mike. Two of the best characters in the BB universe. LOL

"I got dipping sticks." is one of the funniest lines in all of television.

If you guys ever get the chance to visit Albuquerque, you can tour the town and see all the locations such as Walt's House, Hank's House, Jessie's House, Jane and Jessie's Condo, Saul's Office, the car wash, Pollos Hermanos, and other locations you haven't encountered yet on the show. Real locations, not a movie set.

Best commentary ever when Walt was giving his speech. I was dying. "People move on?" "Oh they gotta take the mic from him"

Gustavo didn't the send the hitmen. They're cartel hitmen, the cartel sent them as revenge for killing Tuco. Gustavo called and told them not to kill Walter. Gustavo is THE MAN. You cant ignore him. Gustavo wants Walter for the money he can generate.

I've watched this series about 4 times since it came out. I have to admit I snuck ahead a few episodes from where you are because I was drawn in as always and couldn't help myself Now I'm ready to get back on board with you. Enjoy!

The Crawling was part of a Religious Pilgrimage type of thing. Pain and sacrifice and so on. Separately, the shrine the bald guys visited was a patron Saint protecting criminality of some sort. I've actually visited a few of these in tiny towns in western Mexico... people leave gifts in like cigarettes and cash and drugs and bullets... things to symbolize their loved one or fellow fallen gangster.

Remember Walt talked to the girls dad before she died. He didn’t know they were related they just had a conversation about loved ones making bad choices (in which Walt was concerned about Jessie) but he had no idea who the man’s daughter was till the news after the crash. Then he starts feeling guilty about letting her die and what it led to which I think is why he was going to burn the money cause he sees it as blood money more directly now than just as drug money.

The enforcer/clean up guy is named Mike. He saved Walter's life by getting word to Gus since only one call from Gus was able to call of the twin hit men. These two visited the old men from the nursing home with the bell who you remember from season 1 was Tuco's uncle....so putting that all together the twins are somehow associated with Tuco and his uncle. The crawling on the knees ti that shrine is Santaria- a mixture of traditional Mexican "voodoo" and Catholic/Christian rituals from when the Spanish came in the 1500s and conquered the Mexican native people. You could see candles to Christian saints, the Virgin Mary and also skulls and death from the voodoo part. So the hit men were basically going to the shrine to find the picture of their target and also do "black magic" of a sort to get luck to kill Walt

BJ cracking himself up over “criminally good” while Asia just kept watching was hilarious. I appreciated it man 😂

His speech at his school about the plane crash was him justifying it to himself because he knew it was his fault. He was trying to play it down because he felt guilty as hell.

Walt flat out telling Hank that there's mad cash in that duffle bag was wild. But he knew damn well he wouldn't have believed him 🤷🏾‍♂️ This season is so doggone good that I'm afraid people won't be able to contain themselves from dropping spoilers for y'all or anyone else who hasn't seen this show. You know how it is, people get caught up in the moment and start talking, lmao.

The Teneriffe disaster that Walt mentioned actually happened. Two fully loaded 747 planes collided on the runway, killing almost 600 people.

Fun Fact: Breaking Bad almost didn't make it, they were almost canceled because nobody watched for the first 3 seasons, but the 4th season it blew up and took off. The rest is history.

The deity in the shrine that they are crawling to is La Santa Muerte or The Holy Death. And she is beloved amongst a community of worshipers. It's not meant to be evil or fearful of, but rather to embrace the fact that death is apart of life. Sometimes she can be righteous and fearful because she is an embodiment of Death and that can be scary to a few people, she also gives fair justice to those who pray for it. People give her offerings and prayers and in return she gives back whatever the person asks for.

It never gets old rewatching this show through other peoples eyes. Truly perfection

My wife and I love this series so much we actually visited Albuquerque and visited alot of the filming locations, and even stayed in an air bnb that was a filming location from later on in the show. 10/10 reccomend visiting

I think you forgot the part where it was the lawyer Saul, who put Walter in contact with Gustavo by arranging that first meeting at the Pollos. Walter is not the lawyer's only client.

Notice Walter trims the crust off the sandwich like he did for Crazy 8. He picks up habits of those he kills. Walt met Jane’s father before she died.

It was the Bell Ringer with the Ouji board that sent him, hes feom the cartel... Gustavo intervened and had the two hitmen stop. Youll learn more as the series goes

Bj pretty much got it at the end. Nobody messes with Gustavo. He's super high up and seeing Walt and all the potential money he could bring to the table, he prevented that hit.

It's so much fun watching your minds trying to figure out what's happening. One of the reasons Br Ba is so good is that you never know until it happens.

Can't wait to see you guys jump into "Better Call Saul." It's a spin off of Breaking Bad that will answer all your questions. It's about Saul the lawyer up until he meets Walter White. So you learn about Tuco, Mike, Gus, and all the blanks you guys have had about these characters. Mike works for both Gus and Saul. He's in between the two. You guys think you only have 5 Seasons but there's another 6 with "Better Call Saul" and a movie about Jessie. So call it 7 Seasons lol. But love the reactions. Maybe binge watch, I can't wait to see the conclusion of this journey.

I just looked it up. The villagers and Cartel twins are visiting a shrine of Santa Muerte which translates to Saint Death. Apparently it's a patron saint of criminals (?!?) and they crawl as a symbol of submission.

Don Hector is the twins and tucos grandfather. I’m not sure if they are twins or just brothers but they do answer it in a flashback later. Mike (the cleaner) works for Gus. The “twins” work for don hector.

Saul and Mike know Gus. Gus is high up in the cartel and has power over the twins. The twins are just soldiers/hitmen for Hector Salamanca. Hector is Tucos uncle and the twins are Tucos cousins.

The Twins PUT the picture of Walt on the altar. They unfolded it and posted it on the wall next to the skull. Did you guys miss that? It was an offering to help them with their hit. It only took a couple hints the first time, for me to understand they're cartel hitmen hired to kill Walt. I think the show did a great job of "showing, not telling", one of my favorite ways of telling a story. Too many shows try to hold your hand on these things, which is a big reason why I like this show so much. It doesn't treat the audience like it's dumb. The comments must've thrown some misleading info your way or something. Either way, DOPE reaction. I'll be seeing this one through with y'all to the end, for SURE. Also, I got some tips, and you don't have to listen to them: Try not to think things through TOO much. You don't HAVE to have a position on something right off the bat, and if you're unclear on something, that's OK. The answers will come. Not everything is as it seems, and might need a little more time to evolve in your mind and in the story/plot before jumping to conclusions, or before the show reveals it. Just don't want you missing some key moments to those realizations while theorizing, for your own sake. And don't want you feeling like you NEED to know these things, or that you missed something. We were all kept in the dark at one point. The moments in this show are just TOO good, and I've seen this happen pretty frequently while YTers end up asking questions like, "But how did that happen?" when they talked over the explanation 5 seconds earlier of why it happened, while theorizing. lol BB's got some of the best moments in TV, imo. This will help you not miss those moments/reveals, and also save you that energy for enjoying the show as you normally would as a viewer/fan. And the more you're immersed in, and enjoying it, the more we enjoy watching you. That being said, y'all still make some pretty d*mn good guesses, so I hope you don't take those tips the wrong way. I'm just a critic by nature, follow hundreds of channels, and look for what can be improved. And I know that y'all look for the same thing. All love! ❤

Walter met Jane's father at the bar before she died, the night she died, after dropping the money off to Jesse+Jane. Walter went back to try to talk sense to Jesse and help him, which is when Jane died. The next morning was when Jane's father found out she was dead.

There are several religious shrines in Mexico where it is the custom for pilgrims to make their way to the shrine on their knees. At some venues, this is interpreted as a crawl such as you saw in this episode. At a few, the people approach upright on just their knees. As best I recall, there is one shrine with official recognition from the Roman Catholic Church but most are just informal shrines put together by lay people and have no official recognition. The faithful will go to these shrines to pray for their wishes, miracles, vengeance or even to get a winning lottery ticket. The drug culture has co-opted the idea and now even has "patron saints" of drug runners, hit men, etc. In this episode, the hitmen go to the shrine to learn what their target looks like.

I say it everytime but I really love watching this with Asia & BJ. This episode is good as we start to know a little more about Mike, the 2 brothers,the guy in the wheelchair, Gustavo. Crazy!

Walt tryna downplay the air disaster in a way in order to curb his own guilt. Deep down he knows his actions played a major role in deaths of over 160 people. Also why in the beginning he felt the need to burn the “blood” money even though his own greed wouldn’t let him go through with it.

They may or may not actually know each other but they are connected. Just hang in there it all will make sense as it goes on. I still am not sure if Gus sent the twins but he is high enough up to stop them for sure! I love watching you guys figuring stuff out and you get it right a lot! wow you guys really didn't pay attention. The "twins" are Tuco's cousins who are nephews of Tio just like Tuco was. Tio used to be in charge and since he is incapacitated, others took over. Tuco is dead and they are looking for revenge. Mike called Gus to stop them from killing Walt. I also heard you call Tio Tuco's dad. Tio means uncle in Spanish. Also you said that Saul is not connected to Gus. Saul is the one who arranged the meeting between Walt and Gus. they are very much connected.

So Walt was burning the money because he, rightfully so, felt guilty about the plane crash because its his fault. He let Jane die which in turn made her father make that fatal mistake because he was so distraught. 167 people (168 counting Jane) died because of his actions, and this all happened for what? For that money. Later on at the school, his guilt was made worse by hearing how traumatized all the students are. Walt tries to downplay the crash by saying it was only the 50th worst plane crash in history, it could have been alot worse. He wasn't trying to convince the students of this but rather himself, its his way of trying to make himself feel like less of a monster.

Walter was burning the money imo because he now considered it ''blood money'' due to the plane crash and the situation with his wife. He wanted to quit at that moment and his speech at the school gym was basically him projecting how he rationalized his decision to continue breaking bad. The speech is Walter gaslighting himself.

The guy who put the bugs in the house , works for Gustavo ! Gustavo stopped the twins from killing Walter

There are two gangs, the Salamancas (tío on the weelchair and the twins) and Gustavo's (who works with the guy that called to inform about the twins and Saul the lawyer) just so you don't get lost in the story guys. Thx for the reaction!!

I knew y'all were gon trip on that crawl thing. I know I sure did. It's a religious rite. I think it's called Los Muertos. Maybe you've seen those Sugar Skulls from Los Muertos Art. Ps. Walt knew Hank always underestimates him... so he could say he had money in the bag. Watch Walt's eyes when he's talking to Hank. You'll see them narrow, every time. It's like he's challenging him to not treat him like he's a damn joke.

Did anyone else notice that after Skyler tried to get Walt to sign the divorce papers, they changed her look, her eyes seem more.... flinty, mean? It gets more obvious it through out the rest of the series.

The statue at the beginning is of Santa Muerte, a saint of death. Neither necessarily good or evil. However, worship of her is considered occult and unorthodox. Crawling on one's belly towards her shrine is a good means of gaining her favour, you then place a photo or drawing of your victim on the shrine. She has a heavy following in the cartel.

Mike works for the lawyer. The lawyer put Walt in touch with Gustavo. Mike called Saul, Saul called Gustavo, Gustavo called off the hit.

I watch this while I'm eating dinner. The next best thing to watching this show, is watching you watch it

During Walter's speech in the gym, that was him basically saying "see it wasn't really THAT bad!" because he's feeling super guilty about his role in it and is trying to justify it.

I am loving this so much that I am already dreading when it ends. You guys make it so much fun to watch again.

Gus didn't send (Two guys in the suit) Leonel and Marco Salamanca, they went to (Guy in the wheelchair) Hector Salamanca to find out who killed Tuco Salamanca. Leonel and Marco are also the cousin's that Tuco was waiting for to come to the house in Mexico.

Don Hector (Theo) sent the twins to Walt for getting Tuco killed,Mike got the message to Gus telling him that’s what was about to happen and Gus got it called off because he want to use Walt to cook for him.

That scene with the twins going to the shrine with malicious intent for Walter, other famous used was in the 70s when Darth Vader walked onto princess leias ship. George Lucas stated with the music the costume he didn't need to explain who the Sith were they wickedly stand out.
