@@messi30-i9f yeah, and shouldn't we let _them_ prove it again and again..? it will only bring more applause to our cinemas, even from the Hindi speaking belt 💯 that too AFTER paying our producers and writers for the rights.. it's a win-win situation
Many ppl who watch the remakes don't even know that it is a remake. Why should the subpar remakes make more money than the brilliant original?@@vishnu_namboothiri
@@AMzing_alwayzprithviraj main focus is to increase his contacts around all major film industries of India. Thats why he is acting in movies across South and bollywood. He himself is a producer and distributor. So when his film releases, it will be easy to market in all other markets
Chamkila reminded me of a movie masterclass I attended by Anurag Kashyap . He showed us a South Indian movie which was the inspiration for Wasseypur . He said the movie had authentic clothes among overall authenticity like location et al . No fancy leather jacket was thrown in just to make the characters look good or to draw in a bigger audience . Same with Chamkila . The desire to make it non glam & authentic is very deep
@@fretted4life Part 1 Start of the masterclass with Anurag Kashyap Subramaniapuram It was one of the 3 movies that inspired Gangs of Wasseypur . He mentioned 2 other movies You can see their names in the credits of GOW
@@tksayyaf Part 1 Start of the masterclass with Anurag Kashyap He tells us : Subramaniapuram was one of the 3 movies that inspired Gangs of Wasseypur . He mentioned 2 other movies You can see their names in the credits of GOW We re gonna see the movie WITHOUT subtitles non dubbed ! That 's how I have been seeing movies - learning a lot from the context & We are going to see the movie WITHOUT an interval Thats how movies should be seen I ll be observing how many ppl get up & leave ! My thoughts : Wow What a true passionate man ! He loves to talk about movies He likes to be surrounded by ppl who love talking about movies & seeing movies . He is SEEING a movie with us for 3 hours in the same room with about 500 ppl !
Chamkila pierced my heart with a sharp arrow. The movie raised a lot of questions which put me into a lot of dilemmas. Vida Karo was the final nail that opened the flood gates. All the actors did perfect justice to their characters
No doubt..! *1) Varshengalku Shesham* and *2) Avvesham* [The best movie in the past 2 weeks] Both of the movies are too good in their own way ... ❤ they have their own stand alone story 👌🏻
That's good point on Aavesham emotional touch where Fafaa wanting that love and that I didn't have even likes in Instagram it made us emotional with laugh when a gangster said. It's truly amazing
@@FilmCompanionStudiosPlease tell me something you feel about Salman Khan why he not doing movies like sultan tiger zinda hai even his recent film has done well in past also his even tiger 3 movie was average I think Salman need to work with new director and I want Salman khan now has to stop his berojgar Yojana from director like remo prabhu Salman has to stop working with these director what do you think of This film companion anupama chopra
Here's my list of good malayalam movies of 2024: 1. Aatam 2. Family 3. Anweshippin kandethum 4. Premalu 5. Bhramayugam 6. Manjummel boys 7. Aadujeevitham 8. Aaveshan 9. Varshangalkku shesham 10. Jai Ganesh 11. Anchakkalakkokkan
Jai Ganesh product is just mediocre, acting is mediocre. The kidnap is the only thing that peaks people's interest even slightly. Anchakalakokkan is a failed attempt as well. It feels like guy Ritchie and Quintin Tarantino met in munnar. But the problem is it's screenplay and delivery of the content. It's easily forgettable movie with no stand out stuff. You get these characters and stylish making n everything but that's all. There is nothing much more than that Jai Ganesh and anchakalakokkan don't belong in this list as per me
Chamkila was a stunning movie. I am glad it released on streaming. It was the best movie from Hindi Cinema this year. Also Diljit has come a long way as an actor. After watching Honsla Rakh to here is a huge change.
i think varshangalkku shesham is so enjoyable for mallus because there is so much real world reference that only mallu's can relate, people from other state may not feel connected most of the time that's understandable
I don't think a non - malayali wud ever get the underlying emotion behind Varshangalku sheham...as a matter of fact, even amongst malayalies, its only the millenials who are going to get it completely...Vineeth himself being a Millenial and also the son of Sreenivasan, taps into that ultimate fantasy of a cine loving Malayalee millenial...which is, to recreate on screen the closest that he can to the Dasan-Vijayan Duo(Mohanlal-Sreenivasan)...its something that remains in the realm of pure fantasy coz both Mohanlal and Sreenivasan are much older now and even if they do come together on screen, it's never going to be the same...by bringing together their real life sons; Pranav and Dhyan, Vineeth has tapped into that emotion...not that the movie doesn't have a storyline or other elements worth enjoying...It's been almost a week since I saw the movie and I still haven't gotten over Nivin's cameo...so much so that the very next day when I saw Aavesham, none of the jokes in it invoked any laughs in me...that's how hillarious Nivin was...and God the music, all the tracks r running in loop inside my head...but as a millenial, I can easily say that the Dasan - Vijayan emotion is what lies at the core of the movie...I just cant explain the sense of nostagia it invoked in me when I saw that last scene where Pranav and Dhayan stare into the camera...it bought back my whole childhood and teenage and 20s in which Dasan and Vijay were a constant presence
Why so many words to justify …….I feel the works should speak for itself than people just trying to back it up …… lets people have their own perception of the movie and its creativity why mess up their imagination
FAFA and Nivin - my favourites😍. They are not young any more. They have this mentor/ uncle vibes now, which is not a bad thing. It was so good to see them embracing their physicality and age and become these crazy manic characters.
I think chamkila 2024 one of most hyped n most viral n successful movie that make chamkila movie one of the biggest movie of 2024❤and diljit will definitely win best actor award for suree or national award❤
National Awards I think Prithviraj deserves his award for The Goat Life and that too in the same year as Diljit's incredible performance. I do not think this award should be shared but I would like to see Diljit get his flowers
So nice to see Anmol getting the recognition he deserves...he's one of the few indian youtube reviewers who has always maintained his dignity and integrity in his reviews
Being from Kerala.. I would say, only recently the non Keralites have explored the Malayalam movies. From my childhood, I have been watching Malayalam movies, and they are top-notch 👌🏻 But 2024 has been stellar.. all the moves are super duper hits [the success rate is much more than every before]
As a Telugu guy, even my family and I were watching Malayalam movies since long time. Its just that you are not aware how far the content from mammookka, laletta, rajetta, fafa ,etc are going. Just keep encouraging such good content
People assume that it must be easier for Diljit because he is from Punjab, Singer etc . But what makes it look easy is his ability to emotionally connect to the character, and be true/ honest to it. The honesty/innocence in those eyes is what beats your heart. No other singer or actor in the country could have pulled off this role like that. 🙏 #amarsinghchamkila ❤
Love the breadth of genere and region of these reviews. There's also compassion for the film makers (what they were trying to make) and the audience (their perspective of experiencing the movie)
I wonder does Anu misses on shitty movies with big banners and big heroes deliberately to skip the wrath of powerful people or if she does not want to offend certain ppl.
Anupama Chopra ji wanted to say something nice for BMCM but was speechless hence took her frustration on Maidaan, which is a far superior movie....no words for the other 3 though, masterpieces!!!
Loved the conversation. Both of you seem to connect even when you differ, for example Maidaan. Having said that, Chamkila did take away everything. I'm so overwhelmed by that, I'm not watching anything other than Chamkila now. Some part of the movie can be watched repeatedly..
Fafaa spoke fluently in kannada and uncomfortably in Malayalam. Which is in character with an mallu orphan who grew up in Karnataka. But such a difficult thing for a mallu to pull off. I wish that was more obvious to all viewers.
While discussing Chamkila.. when Anmol speaks about the Crtitc judging an artist's character from the body of their work... I felt he was trying to hint about Sandeep Vanga Reddy.
We love films but cannot go to the theatres now due to less time and the ticket costs . All those theatres who use to offer tickets for less are closed and taken over by multiplex. Its better to wait for ott release
Vineeth's movie contains lot of self trolls and references, So doubt that how much that connect to outer kerala people Just try know that stuffs for more good experience
Diljit is a superb actor. Truly surrenders to the process and 'Is' knows how to truly 'Be' the character. A quality only Ranbir Kapoor has shown before him. #amarsinghchamkila ❤
It's sad that the team gets over the project after it's released but the audience wants to talk more and more about it because they have JUST watched it. I have so many questions, anecdotes, praises and just random conversations about Chamkila but Diljit, Imtiaz and Parineeti have moved on to the next now. I feel abandoned.
Diljit makes the role seem effortless ... as if he IS the character. Proof of his exceptional talent in acting. But he does not give himself enough credit. Does not talk too much, or give intelligent answers. Lets his work do all the talking. Proof is in the Pudding. ❤❤❤ #amarsinghchamkila 👏
