the oilers bottom 6 doesnt score much but they forecheck hard, are defensively solid and kill penalties. that should be enough to give the top two lines enough leeway to win the game.
McDavid is slowly going into beast mode the longer this series goes, so as Leon..... Connor.looks engaged...focused.. and skating much better....Never count Connor out, or give him a second chance!.. G O G!

Another penalty, holding the stick. Should nullify the penalty call. Don't need to call the stick hold, but at least nullify the high stick. It's like when you review goalie interference and then you realize another player forced him to do goalie interference, then it's not a penalty. Rhey didn't do that with this. They jist reviewed for the stick and didn't even look. Weaaaaaaak officiating. Especially for jt being called late at all. Like wtf is this. Plus the roughing call on nurse... that was a jooooookr
@Ewsterz how is it like though? Really? The puck was touched like 5 times before they decided to stop playing and review. Is THAT how it works? Lol I've seen missed high sticks before, that knew they were missed. Play went on. I've NEVER seen the officiating play out like that.
I'm a neutral fan, and like both teams. Anyone who thinks Edmonton is going to walk all over Dallas, keep in mind that the Stars haven't won a game 1 since the bubble year 2020. Yet they've won a lot of series' since. This should be a long WCF.
I don't think any thoughtful Oilers fan is expecting a walk. The problem is, the entirety of hockey Fandom outside Edmonton is expecting Dallas to walk over the Oilers.
Lol it's the opposite even before this series started I heard nothing but dallas fans saying how Dallas is the deeper team with the better goalie and how it doesn't matter who won game 7 in the Canucks vs oilers series cause Dallas was gonna steam roll through whatever team won.
McDavid is an unselfish player. Not only is he the top player, but his leadership inspires. He gives credit where it is due………he comes across very humble. He and his team deserve the cup.
The only ones anyone talked about walking all over the other was the pundits and the 'neutral' fans talking about the stars destroying the oilers. Nobody thinks the Oilers are going to walk all over Dallas. If we win, it will be a grind.
Usually the refs manage the games especially in the playoffs ,im not talking about the high stick but when the oilers get 5 penalties, 3 of which were very borderline ticky tack and they called only 1 on Dallas .I know there are refs that have rifts with certain teams as much as tgey do not want to admit it.Does someone know the process the NHL goes through when deciding referees for playoffs? I thought i heard somewhere that teams can request or somehow dispute whether a ref gets assigned a game?
I think he was holding the stick and Connor had to wrench it to get his stick free. They've been holding our sticks all game and getting away with it, so why not?
It's the betting. And people's bad habits. One ref with a bad habit, or something he doesn't want people to know about opens the door for skeeeeetchy stuff. A gambling debt, an affair, a certain type of fetish, whatever it is, when there js betting on the level that's happening right now, these things matter
@@sportsfix6975 no. That's too many loose ends. Lots of the refs come from within the hockey community and could quite literally not all be a part of it. Lots of factors at play. People at the top are definitely in on something, but the low level refs can be controlled without being in on it. That's an easier way to get away with it if you're a guy at the top. A low level guy knowing too much and snitching would ruin it. Better to just control people with their secrets. Too many people are sleazy these days, especially on a good salary. It's easy to control people who don't want their things brought to light
McDavid deserved the penalty. He's become a serial high sticker when the going gets tough. And he's repeatedly gotten away with it. I hope he learned something here. He almost cost us the game, and if he doesn't drop this bad habit he will end somebody's career. Come on, McDavid, you are better than this.
