Ange Postocoglu is furious with Tottenham and their approach to the Man City game. Will Ange leave Spurs? Mark Goldbridge reacts to the latest football news.
@@Ice_surfer101 Not very bright are you. Now it's impossible to get top 4. That's the difference. Spurs fans willingly allowed their team to lose and make success an impossibility just so they could point at their neighbours and say "ah ha you lost" pathetic fans

Levy couldn't care a stuff about winning, or Tottenham, or football. Levy wants to milk Tottenham. Exactly the same as what Glazier is doing at Manchester United.
ok? And how is this the spurs fans fault? We haven’t won anything for 16 years so we don’t have a winners mentality, and ange had the chance to beat Chelsea, west ham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton, wolves and Fulham but bottled all the games with his inability to adapt and change his tactics. Tbh I’d rather get Europa league cuz if we got into the champions league, Levy wouldn’t use any of the UCL money, and we’d get knocked out of the champions league. So another year without a trophy, but Europa league would give us an actual chance of winning a trophy, no point in competing in a competition if you’re not going to win it.
I have a very soft spot for Ange as an Arsenal fan. Dare I say, I really like him as a manager and his style of football is actually hella entertaining. He would do well at Man United or Liverpool with the financial backing.
Imagine your first season at a new club as manager and you see your own fans cheer for the team that is beating you at your own ground... A new low indeed 🤣🤣
dawg he lost to an injury ridden Liverpool, Newcastle, and Chelsea and only now gets angry when the fans don't want Arsenal to win the league again at their own stadium
I know it‘s completely unrealistic but imagine, just imagine how nice it would be if West Ham gets a point against City, arsenal winning and Spuds Fans having to watch Arsenal lifting the Premier League Title anyway after they celebrated not being in the CL… that would be the best day of my life…
Agreed. That would be the perfect ending. I don't know why people think it's impossible for West Ham to get a point. I wouldn't put money on it, but you never know. An early goal by the Hammers, City gets nervous.

As Arsenal fan only thing is really respect about Tottenham is Ange and some of their players who actually tried to win. Mad respect for this guy. Hope some better team can respect him and offer him winning mentality.

Spurs fans please explain one thing to me. Why United fans didn’t celebrate Arsenal’s win last week. Even when they want Arsenal to win the league. I guess that’s the difference between a small club and a big club. It’s the mentality.
Last night made me realise one of the main reasons Clubs like Liverpool, Man U, Man C, & Arsenal have won so much more - the mentality is so different. Remember when Thierry Henry was baffled by the Spurs players celebrating and getting in his face because they managed a draw against Arsenal, even though it wasn’t enough to stop them winning the league. Henry was like, “you’re seriously celebrating a draw?- we’ve just won the title at your stadium’”
I remember that day. The ref and officials were telling Henry not to celebrate if they win but because spurs player was getting in his face celebrating a draw Henry said f**k it and led the celebrations and we won The Prem Title that day😅
I'm a Spurs fan, and I was absolutely gutted we lost last night. I thought the team played admirably, and I would rather focus on my team rather than the neighbours. I don't understand the mentality... I really don't.
Can't believe I'm typing this but respect to Ange and those Spurs players last night. They gave City a good game and did their best. The fans on the other hand were a joke. Loser mentality.
@@zacharysmackary8307it’s definitely the fans fault. They didn’t support their team. That’s literally the only reason to go and watch your team yet they were so worried about arsenal that they didn’t give the team the support it needed. Is it really that hard to see?

The Spurs players did give it a go, but I’m sure it crossed Son’s mind as he was going through on goal “if I put this away my fans will hate me”. What a joke of a fan base
Fail? Getting fourth isn’t an achievement lmao. Get fourth to do what get knocked out in the group stage? Better to be in the europa league because they can win it then getting knocked out straight away in the champions league group stage.

I am in the minority but i really did want spurs to win yesterday my feeling is though that the loss to man city was inevitable and Villa will very likely beat palace anyway i am Ange in hopefully he can change the mindsets of the losers through success
At this day, I still can't understand on what basis Tottenham are considered a "big club". The media have gaslighted a lot of people in the last decade. If this club was located outside London, it would have been considered at the same level as Blackburn.
Because they always mostly finish in the top 6 which made them part of the big 6. But that could change with villa and newcastle now competing for european football too

For those people who think "aww, he won't leave! It's Tottenham!"... I've got news for you! After qualifying Australia for the World Cup finals in Russia 2018, he gave up the opportunity to take the team to the World Cup itself, citing irreconcilable differences with the management of Football Australia. If you think he thinks managing Tottenham is bigger that his own country, you've got another thing coming. I personally wouldn't be surprised to see him leave! The man is all about character & winning. Tottenham fans yesterday showed in spades, that is thin on the ground. Good luck with your strategy of working hard to see your opponents fail! See how far up the ladder it takes you next year without him!
I cannot understand fans who will rather sacrifice champions League football with all the financial incentives it brings than see your rivals win the title.
Spurs will now qualify for Europa League which they can actually win next season. Top 4 isn't a trophy and it's becoming overly obsessed with by modern day fans. The whole point of wanting your team to win is so they can win trophies. Once that is gone then seeing your rival team also not win a trophy is the next big thing. Otherwise what's the point in these rivalries? I actually feel bad for spurs fans because I guarantee you any other clubs fans would've been the same way. Also top 4 was gone regardless. Villa won't lose to palace.
Exactly and I was one of them I don’t blame spurs fans I think Europa is better for them anyway, also marks a hypocrite when he became the biggest city fan for a day
yeat but probably they didn't cheer the opposition team during the match like tottenham did..theres a big difference in losing and consoling yourself that your rival wont win the title v/s openly celebrating your teams loss just so your rival wont win the title
I honestly respect United fans. Regardless of City the fans was still supporting their team and wanted a win against us. I hate United but I totally respect them.
As a Liverpool fan, I’d like city to win the league as nobody really cares if they do or do not. But it’ll be really funny if Arsenal do win the league now to just humble the spurs fans
Doesn’t that mean that humbles your fan base too? Knowing that Liverpool isn’t good enough to win the league, and would likely have a new manager issue like Man U next season?
Honestly I understand why spurs felt the way they felt but how they behaved it was embarrassing man . Ange must have been shocked , poor man , I feel for him

If you think City will thank you next year you're wrong, they'll hammer you home and away and step on you, your own fans happy losing and you call yourselves a football club
Couldn’t agree more as per usual Mark. Ange is a legend. Australian hero. Last night could have lasting effects for this team with Ange tho. Feel like it’s almost inevitable that he’ll move on now. The fans have lost him
Everything you and ange said is what I've tried to explain to a friend of mine who's a spurs fan, and he just cannot get his head around it. Respect for ange has gone up because he's bang on the money. I understand why spurs fans would be happy at arsenal not winning the title, but celebrating losing at home and not supporting your own team? Na that's weird weird weird.
As a Aussie we never ever except failure ever it’s mind boggling you want your team to lose so your rivals don’t win premier league you never hear of that in Australian sports culture that’s why Ang is blown away by the Spurs fans.
Rivalry in European football isn't just competitive it's tribal. I know it's not competitive because clubs will have vicious rivalries with clubs they haven't played in the same league with for over a decade
ok? And how is this the spurs fans fault? You got it spot on yesterday by saying, "it's a life lesson." Never worry about others. Worry about what's best for you. Spurs forgot if they would of won, they would of had the chance of meeting my Arsenal in the CL and possibly knocking us out. Fan loyalty can be very myopic. Step back to gain perspective and do what's best for you. The cheek of Spurs to say AFC bottled the league last year when I say, AFC's current young team is learning how to win the league. Cheers Mark, keep cracking on...
As a spurs fan, I agree with what's being said. We needed to win last night regardless of Arsenal, as a supporter you should want your team to win every game. Ange has been great for us this season, especially looking at last season. Love the channel, keep up the great work :)
it’s not like they planned all of this. just give City the credit Mark. they just bottled it against City, of course Spurs wanted to win, in no way shape or form they wanted to lose CL football.
Arsenal fans should stop depending on others to fail before winning. And they should stop being too emotional after learning their woes. Arsenal are now battering spurs for what they could not achieve on their own.
Explain the irony smart guy. I've never seen Mark say anything that would put the failure of any club over the success of his own. Explain yourself. The fact that this comment even got this many likes prove how many stupid non thinking people are out there
The same manager that said we aren't aiming for top 4. It's the title or nothing. And look at our results over the last couple of months, not exactly been giving us anything to be happy or celebrate. And lets not forget when arsenal fans said they're happy to not win the Europa League if it meant Spurs don't win the champions league
You were happy when you were too of the league in the beginning isn't it you were claiming everywhere that you were the best team and you were going to win the league
@@khalifadiatta Yeah we were happy when playing goof football but for the last 5 months we haven't so it's fair for us to moan about him not changing up. Nobody seriously thought we would win the league, any team in that position would be happy
Damn bro , do you think spurs have the team to win the premier league , like what do these guys want , spurs will roam around 4-6th untill they get a damn big push of money like Newcastle
To alleviate the problem the league could introduce a final series at the end of the home and away games. Say top two teams play a best of three games final series. It'll extend the year and bring more money in which seems to be a driving force.
as Arsenal fan I have big respect for united fans, when Arsenal played them they was supporting their team even though they don't want city to win the league. Spurs fans are an embarrassment to football.
4:34 so is it the money or the mentality that wins titles? In Spurs' case you're suggesting lack of fan mentality somehow correlates to not winning titles when I'd argue that lack of investment, selling our best player 1 day before the season beginning, starting deadwood in cup games days before selling them, a failure to appoint a set piece coach, and of course putting no effort whatsoever into adjusting tactical approaches against any side until the moment the fans don't care if they lose are more probable reasons for failing to win anything, none of which happen to be a result of fan mentality.
Just because the team loses doesn't mean Ange does not have a winning mentality. On the other hand, not supporting your team (wanting them to lose) is a negative mentality. You might need to read that twice...
When Football Australia couldn't match his ambitions to progress our whole national setup, he walked away from the national team manager job. He's a guy with strong footballing convictions, he'll walk if Tottenham don't rise to meet his values
The mentality of the players and fans can’t win, Ange was brought in to change this mentality and build a mentally strong team - He shouldn’t leave, he is here to change it
I agree I watched the entire game and Spurs played to win. I think everybody is blowing it out of proportion. I think Spurs fans wanted to win but they didn't mind if they lost the game. That game last night was decided by Man City because they are a really good side.
Loool, no, they played like they wanted to win, they did not play to win, can you honestly say that Son would miss that simple 1v1 at any other stage in the season, the press was weaker than usual and so on....
And if the fans showed more passion, do you think the players would of tried harder, the fans wanting them to lose would only filter down onto the pitch...but it is what it is, Tottenham accept you are not a big club like the fans think they are
My question is how United could try that hard against Liverpool 3 times this season. Best old trafford atmosphere in years for Liverpool turning up. Now how have United played since ? Did they show the same energy against Arsenal or City ? Or Fulham ? Double standards really
that's not how that works, Liverpool are huge rivals, and winning against rivals is always going to be more important to fans and players than winning against non-rivals, but cheering for your own team to lose is so that your rival cannot achieve something is just stupid, considering your ruining your own chances at achieving something. Directly in a game, Arsenal would never try to lose against Chelsea so that Spurs couldn't make the champions league.
