Facts please don't do this. I know Alex would probably accept to because of the money, but don't dishonour him by throwing him in there with a wrestler at that level.
It’s going to repeat of the Gane match. Speaking of Gane he should fight Alex Instead. Alex has to earn a title shot at heavyweight. He can’t just skip the line. It’s even not even going to be entertaining. Jones will take him down and submit him In the first round.
Alex is 36 his window is almost over. If he wants to be a triple champ now is the time. Sorry dude he can’t fight his way to the hw title…. He’ll have to be given it soon
@@yumjoystyle2 but who says he can’t jump? There’s no line jon has made that line murkey as hell. No one would bitch at this point if they made Alex vs Jon, Jon vs Tom
@@joelbarranco9236 Then why won’t he fight him instead of ducking him to fight the likes of a old man Stipe or Alex who can’t wrestle and is nowhere near the size of jones he’d be done if he got taken to the ground unlike Aspinal he can actually wrestle and strike and is also young strong proper heavyweight and should be next in line as he is the interim champion if it was that easy for jones to beat him why doesn’t he just fight him?
@@Sean_White ., You sound like a str8 "new-jack-casual." Stipe was ruling the HWD for years, genius! Who the hell you think he fought for the HW crown? He fought DC, 3xs. DC destroyed the entire HWD while his buddy Cain was out with a back injury. Then DC didn't want to fight Cain, and move down to challenge Jones for the LHW belt. It's clear, you just started watching the UFC.
They do it all the time. It's not your money, it's the UFC's money. They will dole it out as they choose. Whining about everything is just a bad look on you. You get what you get or just pass on the fights offered.
@@SurfingWithAliens complaining about everything? Reaching much are you? Well ufc money comes from the fans money. No we don’t own the ufc. But we can talk about likes and dislikes alike. Having an interim champion and a champion then now allowing them to unify the belt and having them both fight other people delegitimizes the two belts. It’s true we don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. Jon may very well retire after this next fight. Or may be asking for Alex to be his retirement fight. As much as we want to see the belts unified. Jon has been in the ufc a long long time. As as a veteran he will have a say in his last fight. If he honestly thinks it will be a more interesting fight and money draw for him. That makes sense for him
@@crawlermonkey Your money is nothing, it won't even pay for the smallest of prelim cards. Sure, you can talk about anything you want. But you failed to take reality into account and made yourself look foolish. When Tom won the next in line fight; Jones had a contractual obligation already. All the double digits on here think contracts can be dissolved and not honored anytime they want it different. That is what is called a delusional stance. You are right no one can stop you from making a fool out of yourself about something you don't have a clue about. To dissolve a legal contract, you have to get everyone that is part of the contract to agree to dissolve that contract. It isn't just up to Jones or white or even Stipe to just dump the fight. Everyone already has a stake in the signed contract. Put your money where your mouth is and pay all the parties off to dissolve the contract. Otherwise, you are just whistling dixie in 2024. Like I said those that disregard the facts are just making noise by whining.
@@crawlermonkey You forgot to mention the contractual obligation Jon is under with Stipe. That was in place before Tom won the next in line opportunity. Even that next in line isn't written in stone. Only the signed contracts are written in stone. But some people act like that doesn't exist. Facts are facts except to fanboys that will ignore them to ramble on with their nonsense. On top of that. Dana is always going to pick the biggest money maker. So, Alex getting a shot before Tom would not be unusual.
More UFC shenanigans to protect JJ. Just like the matchup with Cyril... he's seeking opponents with zero grappling and zero wrestling skills, when there are real challengers like Aspinall.
Tom can’t grapple either what are you talking about lol I’m not sure anybody is a great matchup for Jon Jones. Seems like all easy fights for him to be honest
This is what the UFC does when you criticise them. Surely you must realise this? Tom should be next but he should have stayed quiet as the UFC is a pretty petty company. Start complaining and they will put you on the shelf for a bit.
Every one initially said Alex isn't ready for UFC at the start of his UFC career but disapproved them all by winning at two weight division against the best, so he can't be ruled out against Jon Jones, he still stands a chance. He can use elbows, knees, leg kicks and punches with equal effectiveness.
Alex isnt ready for Jones yet. He needs to gain a little more weight and fight a couple heavyweights first. If they threw him right in with Jones it would slay Alex's legacy. I do believe if Alex chooses the right path he could obtain 3 division championship status. If he moves to fast in that direction though i think it would be devastating. Jones is a scary fight for Alex and his hands down style. Jones is sneaky with his style. Could catch Alex in so many ways. Also Jones has felt the kind of power Alex possesses before. So Alex ahould really take his time in my opinion heading into Heavyweight agaibst Jones. Might i add im a huge Alex fan and not a fan of Jones. I believe Jones is a cheater with the PED fails and also the eye poking King. Either way Jones is dangerous.
@@1111111111202 ya very true. I just think jones had a better all around skill set. So a few extra pounds on Alex could help him from getting pushed around is what I was thinking. I can't believe Alex use to make 185. He has like no body fat. It's pretty crazy. He is definitely a species of his own.
@RayHarms82 Jones would kill him. He'll just wrestle him and have a low risk plan. Submission first or second round is mt prediction. But if Jones let's his ego get to him and strikes, he couldt get knocked out by alex
@@1111111111202 ya I have them same opinion. I know it's Alex's goal to become a 3 division champion, but I just dont think he is ready for Jones. If he wants to fight in heavyweight I think he should fight someone else. Not even Tom either. I don't think he is ready for Tom as well.
A ton of UFC commentators, staff pronounce it as Peheira, so I had no idea. But I just checked with my Portuguese friend, and he says it is infact pronounced “Pereira”. I’ll take note for future reference. Thanks for watching 📈🚀
Jon fine fighting pereira instead of stipe but not aspinall lol And I don't mind the stipe fight. Everyone writing stipe off is crazy to me. And I think stipe deserves a good payday before he retires.
Because Aspinall is nobody in terms of legendary fights legendary wins a star power and fanbase. Who tf is that guy? Why would Jones fight him? No legacy no star power nothing. You Aspinall fanboys are salty and not even trying to look at that thing.
They need to let Tom take Jones title already so he can pass the torch and go do blow in obscurity or whatever. Piera can fight Tom after a heavyweight warm-up fight. 🔥 make it happen!
What makes you think they can break the contracts already in place. Maybe Tom wants to put up a few million to get them to vacate the contracts. Maybe you can put the money up. Guess not, continue carrying on and embarrassing yourself.
@@bullrockny Yes he is, that's why he moved to heavyweight (after Francis left, of course) to avoid people like Pereira. He had already lost his last LHW fights anyway. He fights once a year because he's scared, the SHEEP he should be called.
Pereira is massive. You wouldn’t believe it, but in terms of bone density and muscle he’s probably bigger than Jones. Their the exact same height too, 6’4”. Don’t forget Jon was naturally skinny, but if you look at him now, he’s quite fat. So in terms of a size advantage, it probably goes to Pereira.
The contract is already signed way before Asp won a shot at the title. That puts him second in line, not first in line. Someone would have to put up some big money to get both to vacate the contract, even then the UFC may not let them vacate the contract. Contracts are legally binding and if broken could cost them millions. Maybe you should think before making such ridiculous statements as some of the newbies are claiming. They just don't have a clue how life really works in the real world outside of their fantasies.
Honestly speaking Jon is good and some might consider him a freak of nature. But I MUST say that if Jon Jones is off his meds, he looses half the fights he's fought in the UFC. It's a mafia business, it's a selling talk point for uncle Dana to have an undefeated fighter who can beat everyone on the planet 1 v 1. Jon has been a cheat and the UFC and uncle Dana have the money to cover it up. Why do you all think that as discontented as Jon has been with the UFC, he can't go anywhere? If he as much as tries anything, uncle Dana will destroy him with evidence.
John Jones would prefer fighting Alex and making it look easy. John fights to win and not to impress anyone or prove a point. He goes in and wrestles catches him and ends the fight
Alex is one of the best strikers of all time, and I'm not saying just from MMA, but from all combat sports, in striking stance today he is levels above jones, if that figth happens the only point jones could beat him is in grappling, but we dont really know what level Alex grappling is, and if he can just be abble to mantain the figth in the striking stance, Alex is favorite. Jones probably would never acept that figth.
Yeah I have to agree I think it goes through Tom aspinall you can't just Alex the title belt when you have an interim title holder already at heavyweight
Alex takedown defense is a big worry. On the feet nobody is more dangerous for Jones than Alex, And his leg kicks are just as lethal as his left hook. Nobody is beating Jones on the ground.
If he fought Jones, they would be absolute zero feel out period from Jon. He would dive that lead left leg lift up, turn him so that he’s on his back, push him against the cage and slowly, but surely drag him down, or pick him up and slam him into control. From there, it would be about 90 seconds to two minutes, slowly inching his way into mount or back control, and finish with ground or rear naked choke. Alex needs to fight big nose first at light heavyweight, If he wins, wait it out and move to HW After the dust settles with Jones/Stipe and then eventually the winner of that vs Tom.
I think Ciryl Gane vs Alex would be a good fight if he moved up in weight class, Alex is a bully at 205/185 he looks overpowered in those weight classes so he might as well stay.
Regardless of who he trained with; Diaz CANNOT box at all. He couldn't even hit Jake with anything. He was just a punching bag like he was with Jorge. Someone forgot to train him in boxing defense and boxing offense. The Karate Kid wings don't work in boxing.
lol wtf. It should be Jones vs Aspinall. Jones finally got to heavyweight and the guys not even fighting. Alex needs to fight a stand up fighter like Gane. I doubt Alex would move up unless he gets a shot at the belt.
Should he jump the line or not? It comes down to what the fans want and how much the UFC will make. Money will always rule so stop whining. I love Alex but I agree, Jon will take him down and win. If he tries to do what Hill did he would lose but Jon is smart. Skip the queue and make it happen!
If he Improves his takedown defense, he has a chance. The only way to beat Jones is on the feet. There is no wrestlers or grapplers In anywhere In the world who can take him down In sub him.
Is pereira power drunk? what is even going on here..... Who is he to stand in front of Jones? I still maintain, Dana if you want this to happen, kindly make available the Great undertaker's casket
This is not a good idea Jon jones is a monster in the cage yall gone learn every opponent. He has engaged Those peoples careers were ruined or if they even come back at all.
Cant even believe we are discussing this shit. Jon Jones at HW is a completely different match up for Alex except of cours e Alex is willing to gain the weight. And how long are we ready to wait for that? Jon wud not even need to throw a single punch. He will submit Alex in 20secs
