@MormonTrueCrime with the report of him having been a radicalized MAGA Republican and Devout Juggernaut of a Mormon it's not surprising to see a delusional view of keeping her sealed with him through murder and his own suicide. To nip this crap in the bud The Church is going to need to throw Brigham Young under the bus and completely disavow blood atonement as an insidious and unfounded practice.
I’m a Canadian and saw this reported on International news. The LDS church may want to get behind tighter gun laws to help their image. A gun in the home does not make a person feel safer. In this case it killed an innocent woman. Peace be with her. I wish he could be tried and convicted of 1st degree murder posthumously.
The religion needs to completely disavow Blood Atonement as an insidious practice that didn't belong in the Church under Brigham Young' and certainly has no place today. The murder of one's spouse, followed by suicide needs to also be grounds for automatic temple divorce and excommunication for the perpetrator. It's gotta be a path to outer darkness without redemption to stick in the heads of these types of people. Maybe he was an idiot but was he criminally an idiot where his firearms could be justifiably confiscated? 🤔That's the unfortunate problem for this case at least. He wasn't a criminal until he murdered his wife.
The Mormon embrace of Trump was the last straw for me, BUT The Bulwark just did an interview with McKay Coppins about why Utah is the least MAGA of the deep red states. Hmmm.
